“TLDR: The customer service here is ridiculous and by ridiculous I mean ridiculously freaking amazing. So amazing that they do more than is even expected or necessary to be considered a good business. They literally put something on hold for me for the duration of Friday until Thursday without me even asking them to. Full Story: I lost my long time favorite and first skateboard of 6 years. I accidentally forgot it in my buildings community exchange room so someone probably thought that it was was meant to be given away. I put up a poster in the exchange room offering a $50 reward if anyone can return my lost skateboard because I am very desperate, there is no other board on planet earth that I want more than the old one I lost because I am emotionally attached to it and I love the way it rides. Board Stiff is the only shop on the internet I could find that still sells the board I lost so I emailed them to see if the website was still active because the address listed confused me, as it showed the nearby clothing store when I searched it on Google. The search results made me think the shop had closed down and been replaced because I am not from the local area. Board Stiff told me that the shop was still open and that they'd be happy to sell me the board. I wasn't ready to buy the board yet as I don't want to overload my credit card and put myself into a debt spiral. So I told Board Stiff that I would buy the skateboard when I get paid on Thursday if nobody has brought my lost skateboard back to me. Without me asking they put the skateboard on hold for me so now I am not so anxious about losing my beloved skateboard anymore, because well it is really not ideal to lose something that is so expensive and personally special or to have to replace it, it is however really nice to have a sense of security that no matter the outcome I can get the skateboard I have loved so much back in one form or another. Thank you to people behind Board Stiff for being so kind when you didn't even have to and when nobody expected you to go that far. Maybe it's not that crazy of a thing for a lot of people but for someone who has a lot of trouble around losing stuff (no matter how hard I try not to) it really does feel like a big deal for me to have any sense of security after losing something that is such a big part of my life, that I've had for so very long. Thank you to the people behind Board Stiff. I can tell they have a real love for skateboarding in all it's forms.”

The outdoor retailer plans to open a 100,000-square-foot store in College Station, Texas, in 2028. It'll sit along State Highway 6, north of William D. Fitch Parkway, next to a Costco and in front of the future South College Station baseball and softball complex. On Sept. 24, the College Station City Council approved a $10.84 million sale of 28 acres in a unanimous vote. Bass Pro gets about 14 acres for its store. Dallas-based Corinth Properties will build a mixed-use project with restaurants and an event plaza on the other 14.
