In the first week of ownership, my car was detailed by a third party that Kia had agreed to pay for, and there was some confusion when I went to pick my car up from the outside shop. “I came for an oil change on a discount Wednesday for women because I had not had an oil change in about 8 months and I still had about 4000 kms left before I was due for one. The nice fellow checked my oil and said it was still reasonably clean, and not down, and said that unless I was doing a long trip, it didn’t need changing for another few months so I’ll return in Sept or October. He topped up my washer fluid and checked my tires and I went on my way. Oh yes, he explained the different options for a synthetic oil change, recommending the middle option at under $140.00. Very reasonable and competitive, I would say. I will return. Note that the access is off Bay even though it is on the corner of Douglas, so approach Jiffy Lube by Bay Street.”

“My regular mechanic told me the problem with my vehicle but was not able to fix the transmission problem. I took it to Bullfrog to have it diagnosed. They told me the same issues as my mechanic told me about the vehicle. Nothing more, nothing less. To fix the problem of my old SUV was more than I wanted to spend. They agreed it was not worth the cost. They said there was no charge for the diagnoses. Friendly, professional.”

“I'm housesitting in Langford right now. After a Thetis walk, I gassed up at the McCallum Rd. Shell. Went to head back to the house to work and my car wouldn't turn over. After getting a boost, I headed toward the house. But only 8min away and with a steep driveway in a residential area (not ideal for a potential next boost), I couldn't risk the car not starting again. I pulled over and looked up nearby battery /automotive shops. I called Langford Parkway Automotive & Transmission at the unfortunate time of 11:59am. I told the guy my issue: new battery last year, car sits half the year, I use a maintainer, and I have a medical appt. later today in Vic. "Hmm, what can we do.." he thought, then said, "Can you get here... now? The guys will go for lunch in 5-10min." "Yes, I can." I stopped in and the guy tested my battery right away: the battery is good. But my car didn't turn over twice in two days so? He noticed the battery node screws were loose (literally), tightened them, and we went our separate ways. World of difference. THANK YOU so much, Langford Parkway Automotive & Transmission. Great & quick service. Much appreciated.”
