“Absolutely amazing family that runs this store, amazing with kids and always trys to help make things easy as possible. I got injured and they even offered to deliver stuff to me (across street) I am close. But it's still the effort and thought that they put into things. I would highly recommend this store to anyone all around amazing people!!!”

“At the food court a small child accidentally fell and bumped her head, enough to leave a small welt. Within minutes, Morgan was there giving assistance. He saw it from his till, got someone to cover and immediately came to her aid. For a younger man, I was imlressed as how he took control of the incident and made the little girl feel comfortable and safe. He checked her out thoroughly and reassured the little girl the whole time it was going to be alright. She remained calm the whole time. To know what to do when medical attention is needed is one thing, but to be that compassionate is another. Very impressed. Well done!!! Also, we come every week for something and it never disappoints. Fast service, plenty of stock and price wise its fair. Been a member since 2000 and we moved here (Parksville) March 2024 and this is by far the best Costco we have been to.”

“This store on Bowen Road, Nanaimo is a treasure. I picked up a 6 bone Prime Rib and Lee gave me an amazing method of preparing this awesome roast. Nick has a super positive attitude when i called. I knew itwas the place to get my roast. Lee has the perfect recipe, the sausage rolls are awesome, all the staff are positive. So many all kinds of yummy things to want to buy there.

“Excellent service, respectful phone calls, attention to accuracy!We switched to Costco because our friends told us that the rates were lower, so off we go to Costco. The only hassle would be if you have mobility issues, because the parking lot is large, the building is huge inside and there can be waiting in line. But my husband is doing the picking up while I wait for hip replacements :) I'm IMPRESSED with the courtesy and respectful friendliness which overlies the high degree of professionalism of the pharmacists and the adjunct staff. If ever there is a problem with them, we will have this good basis for our dealings with them.”

“I ordered a meat and cheese tray to be picked at a certain time and showed up early. Tray was not ready and I had to get to work. Dede was the person whom helped me. She could see I was worried on how I'm going to get back for the tray as I would have to leave work and Xmas is such a busy time for retail. This lovely lady offered to bring to my place of work, I couldn't believe it! She was a breath of fresh air, her customer service was amazing and she was sincere! “We are in town for a few days and need to get some food for our stay, we decided to go to Thrifty's as it is near by where we are staying. Found what we needed, the stor was nice and tidy. The cashier guy we had was super nice! Very different from the service we get in Vancouver. Great place for your grocery needs with very friendly and kind service.”
“QFC has been a wonderful island fixture for years (Starting in Qualicum beach). The staff is still great. The dipper/LPC prices are hard to take of late but grocers margins are paper thin, thank your dim prog neighbors and friends. Hopefully the QFC brand isn't harmed under the Pattinson group umbrella.”

“Although this is my go-to food store, it’s far more expensive than it ought to be. Selling a box of cans of flavoured fizzy water for $6-8 is ridiculous… but I still pay it. 😩💧
The store is often clean and not chaotically busy most days. Also has a pretty good selection. But I’ve found other stores selling the same items for cheaper, so I’m not sure what’s up with that…
I would love to see Save-on-Foods focus on selling less mass-produced, non-organic, GMOs, etc. because that’s like 80% of their stock, and this “food” is tasteless, unappetizing, and very unhealthy.
