Save-On-Foods is a convenient store where everything is put together, so customers do not have to go to a few different stores. The store is clean, and the quality and taste of products are consistently excellent. Many employees are very helpful, friendly, and often go beyond expectations, with specific praise for staff in the meat section and produce department who are courteous and knowledgeable. The shopping experience is often a pleasure, with some cashiers noted as being patient and cheerful.
However, the store is frequently described as expensive and more costly compared to other stores nearby. A significant issue is a lack of staff, particularly during the middle of the day when only one or two tills are open, causing lines to build up fast. There is usually no employee at customer service. This shortage leads to cashiers getting easily stressed and not being as friendly as in prior years. Customers have noticed minimal lineup issues at other Save-On locations with self-checkout stations and wish this store would install them to shorten wait time for a smoother experience. Good neighbourhood store, they don’t carry everything but have most things. A little on the more expensive side but the staff are friendly and helpful.
