“I have always had the most wonderful experience shopping at this funky little store at 3126 main street., Urban Source
is a store that is filled with whatever you need to get your creative juices flowing. It's also fun just to hang-out and look at all the great stuff. Things in baskets, and boxes, trinkets and beads and all kinds of things all around the store. You will feel like a kid again I guarantee it, the staff are so wonderful and eager to find whatever you may be looking for.
Every year Women Helping Women puts out the call for donations for children's gifts at local shops throughout the
city and once again Melanie has come through.
Women Helping Women is still going strong in part because of the support of small companies such as Urban Source.
Women Helping Women are so grateful to Melanie at Urban Source for their continued support and hope people from around the city will support this wonderful store.
Check out this tiny little place filled with the most wonderful things. Great place for Art supplies and to meet like minded people. When you go in. Just say Merry-Lynn sent us......
You will have the most wonderful experience.”
“I've been a painter for years! I've found that this acrylic paint can be manipulated almost like an oil paint. Ooooh, this paint spreads like a soft butter! My new favorite!”
“Only the most charming and adorably curated store in Vancouver, with the very best books, art supplies and carefully selected toys snd goods for children! Party decor, greeting cards, too. A magical shop for kids and adults alike, owned and run by the amazing Erin and her lovely staff. Collage Collage is always on my recommendation list for visitors to Vancouver, too!”
“I had a custom cat artwork printed for my living space, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. I want to thank the staff as they were genuinely kind, attentive, and professional throughout the process.
The print quality is outstanding, crisp, refined, and exactly what I envisioned. It elevated the entire space.
With custom orders, I highly recommend double checking every detail to ensure perfect alignment on expectations. Once that’s clear, their execution is seamless.
Overall, a smooth, efficient experience with beautiful results.
I can definitely recommend this business and I will return for more custom orders.”
“I knew when I walked in and saw black lipstick that I was in the right place. Beginner friendly. You can get a single pencil with an eraser for 50¢, or go all out and get a pack of artisan pencils for $50+.
They don't really sell any crap here which mostly affected my choice of notebook. It was about $15 for a high quality, thick paper, sturdy ringed notebook. I also got a gel pen which I highly recommend if you're tired of shaking your bic pens like a rain stick all day.
This location used to be a bank! There's a vault in the back somewhere, neat.”
“One of the most stocked hobby stores I have seen, overheard the owner introducing or teaching something to a customer group of 3, which I can see from that the owner is patient understanding and knowledgeable.
Great place to stop by if near Burnaby.”
“Today I picked up two re-framed University degrees from the 1980's. OMG they're beautifully done! If you need anything framed, go here! The prices are fair for the super high quality work done, and much appreciated. The store is also very well supported and equipped for many different types of art mediums as well. Awesome work!”
“Alan at Fidelis Art Prints is amazing! He is very knowledgeable about art printing and is very helpful. High quality and great service! I feel very happy to have found such a great business to handle my art printing needs.”

“I have visited many stores in the past for my framing needs. For the past 12 years, I've been coming only here. I brought many pieces to frame and restore. The owner is very talented and amazing at what she does. I would highly recommend this store for all of your framing needs. There are lots of options to choose from.”
“I had an amazing experience at the store thanks to Drea! She was incredibly respectful, patient, and went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I needed. Her expertise made a huge difference in my visit, and her helpful attitude is truly appreciated. If you’re looking for great service and someone who genuinely cares about your projects, ask for Drea. 5 stars!”
“I needed to replace my favorite Maiwa duvet cover after many years and I no longer live locally. I ordered from the website and received my new bedding in just a few days. As always, the quality of the cotton is amazing, the colours are vibrant and rich and the workmanship is stunning. Definitely recommend!”
“I needed help to frame a couple of photos, and Billy has been nothing short of amazing. He's been very helpful and I am extremely satisfied with the final result”
“Excellent service. Opus Art Supplies has been around for decades in the city but have changed locations a number of times. They have quality art supply products that serve the artistic community. “Capilano Rock & Gem is a hidden gem for anyone who loves crafts, jewelry making, or collecting crystals and stones. The store is huge, and you can find almost everything you need for your projects. I always enjoy browsing because there's such a great variety.
Over the years, I do feel that the quality of some of the beads, crystals, and natural stones isn't quite what it used to be. The store could also be cleaner, and parking can be very challenging.
That said, the selection is still impressive, and it's a great place to find unique supplies. Definitely worth a visit if you're into crafting or jewelry making.”
