“We’re staying at Sun Cove Resort, and we forgot to bring oat milk. So I drove to Oroville to get some after Googling “markets near me.” The unpaved county road kicked up a dust plume that always reminds me of the Road Runner. I pulled into the parking lot and stepped inside.
The first thing I noticed was a box of used shopping bags—if you want to reuse one that has been returned to the store, you may. A manager greeted me with a smile. Everyone else in the store was friendly, from the staff stocking meat and produce to the other customers.
I found my oat milk and grabbed some refried beans, chips, tortillas, and ingredients to make pico de gallo. As I walked out, I saw the box of used shopping bags. I like the small courtesy it represents. I grew up in a small town, and it was nice to be reminded of the anchoring warmth a grocery store can provide.”
“Love the old school car buggies for the kids but i dont love the baby food products being in the isle with the chemicals seems to be a trend at both oliver grocery stores and it sends us to penticton for our baby formula i just cant, those detergents were made to soak into things its like why youd not put the bread there.”

“A few minutes out of town but usually this location will be a few cents last than any other in Oroville. Not a lot of inventory in the store but for a gas station convenience store it's just fine.”
“I like stopping here when I make my trips into the states when I was on my way to Eden Valley Ranch for the Table Mountain Star Party when it was held there a few times.”

“In August there was a good selection of fruits and vegetables to choose from. The prices seems reasonable with as expected, some more expensive than I would expect and others lower. Lots of South East Asian products also available. Staff not overly friendly but were able to answer our questions when asked. Convenient location and reasonable amount of free parking.
The in season fruit tasted great. I was a little suspect that all of the produce is from Canada.”
