My husband and I have been using Auto West BMW for years. We purchased 3 cars from them and I’ve leased one with no problems. The service for my leased X3 was wonderful. Come lease renewal I went in to the show room and discussed what I wanted. He showed me a floor model that I liked, but at no time did he tell me there wasn’t comfort entrance to the car. (Keyless entry). I signed the contract. I got home and noticed that it didn’t have that function, so I called the salesperson and told him is there any way to program my key. I was finding it really annoying. He then told me that it didn’t come with that because it was assembled during Covid. I wasn’t happy. Next problem came with the trunk lid opening unexpectedly when I was opening my garage door and it caused damage to my trunk. This happened 3 times before I took it in to get fixed. I explained to them what had happened and asked about the damage to the trunk? No comment. They fixed the truck lid and I took it home. After I had taken it home, when I tried to open it, it would only open 6”. Before I brought it in to get checked, I called the lease dept to see if the damage was covered, they then put me on to the Finance Department. I was told that, that was the cost of owning a car! I lease the car, I don’t own it!So I bring the car into the dealership to get fixed once again, at $.25 cents per kilometre twice now on a warranty issue. I live outside Vancouver.When I got home I called the General Operations Manager, re my problems with my car, keyless entree, trunk opening unexpectedly, the damage it made and my trunk opening part way. He offered to fix the car and gave me $250 credit for mileage. I asked what about the keyless entry? The answer was, it was going to cost me a lot of money to re-lease another vehicle.My only solution is to contact BMW Canada and two other possibilities, and hopefully this will get resolved.I am not a happy person!

Thank you Linda Yu for your professional, prompt and helpful service during the trade-in and sales process and follow - ups. Linda was very knowledgeble showing me all the bells and whistles on my new love , a 2021 BMW Z4 Roadster. The hallmark of a true professional is the ability to read the customer and, more importantly, the after sales follow-up and Linda has all the reciepts. In Arnie's words "I'll be back! " ( but in a good way?)

I had an excellent service experience fixing faulty part in the sunroof and whistling sound in the windshield. Kudos especially goes to Simon (Shop Foreman) for taking the time to diagnose (whistling) and fix my car. He was very patient and professional. Also great service from my service advisor Kenny. I'll definitely be coming back here for all my servicing needs.

My partner took her X1 for an oil change, and unfortunately, it turned into a frustrating and costly experience. The dealership reported an engine oil leak without even informing us, which we discovered later at another mechanic's. We took it to another mechanic at Kaltire to fix a tire, and they thought the leak was 95% likely due to the last oil change at the dealer. They recommended we take it back and get it fixed for free as they didn't want to charge us unnecessarily. But when we returned to the dealer, they charged us $300 for a diagnostic and said it's not their fault.The real shock came when they sent us a video claiming multiple problems, including an oil housing gasket leak, quoting over $1000 for the fix. The service manager, Tony Ma, said most of the cost was for labor, but we found out from other mechanics and online sources that it should have been an easy 2-hour job, not $500/hour as they charged.Worse yet, our trusted mechanic friend later found no engine oil leak at all; just leftover residue from the previous oil change, which he easily cleaned. It seems like the dealership tried to tighten a valve from the last oil change and then demanded thousands for unnecessary repairs.This dealership seems complacent in overcharging and taking advantage of BMW owners who might not be familiar with car mechanics. We feel scammed and taken advantage of. My advice: STAY AWAY and find a more honest and reputable place for your car needs.
