The environment in this place is very harmful to cats mentally and physically. When stores are closed, they are left unattended, but this palce is closed so often. their fur looks not healthy, weight is also so underweight.

We went for their dogtopia day, where they have dogs instead of cats. First off, it's not a cafe in any way unlike what they claim on their Instagram, there is nothing to eat or drink. Also, the place is filthy, there's dried poo all over the walls and it stinks all the way into the street. Kids were extremely annoying as they were obnoxious and disrespectful of both the dogs and the other people and were very obnoxious, the owner and employees didn't seem to care.Other than that is it very enjoyable if you want to go pet some dogs and are not able to have one of your own.

Badly designed and badly run animal cafes like this one are ruining an otherwise great thing. Spaces like Catfe, which are immaculate and house well-cared for cats, and our own Bunny Cafe that places the comfort and care of the rabbits first, provide great therapeutic joy to many people, but the concept faces protests because of places that smell bad and use stressed and poorly cared for animals. It can (and should) be done right!

Discusting use of animals to make money and very unclean. Owner should be investigated.

As someone who's been to all 3 cat cafes in Vancouver, this one is my favourite. They're super low-key but you can tell that the cats are genuinely happy and active.Highly recommend for dates or with the family

We went to the catopia with an open mind and really wanting to enjoy time with the cats. The cats were beautiful but the environment was filthy. You could smell it outside from the street. Inside there were several areas with dried (and wet) cat poo on the walls and some poo matted in the cat hair. There were clumps of cat hair everywhere . There was also no place to wash hands but I asked to use the “out of order”Bathroom. It was filthy, no soap, paper towels and gross ring around the toilet. The staff member was very nonchalant and did not engage at all with the patrons. Apparently there is some food you can order but it was so dirty in there I would not trust it. Will not be going back. Very disappointing experience

The cats were super sweet and friendly, but it was sad to see so many of them severely matted, some were malnourished and extremely underweight. It feels like they weren’t being well taken care of and were just used for making a profit!

A cute place for cat lover! There are many adorable one, the experience was okay! But, it could've been better if the environment is a bit more clean and maintained. Cat are so friendly towards people to play with. But unfortunately some of the cat loves to hide and sleep.

I visited on one of their Dogtopia days. The dogs are so cute and funny. They go crazy for the treats ? I really liked the dog who stands up when asking for treats and sweet little angel Penpen (the one in blue shirt and cute clip) just waiting to be given a treat. But everyone made my heart really happy ???

I'm giving this place a 3 star only cause i feel like it can improve on a lot of things to make it better. Maybe cause there's really no other places like it so it doesn't really bother to improve.I went on one of their "dog cafe" days where it's only dogs. Right away when we entered, we have no idea what was going on cause the owner/manager didn't greet us so we just stood before the door waiting to see what's supposed to happen. The place also smelled of very strong cat litter, so some air freshener would have been beneficial. We kind of just sat around and start playing with some dogs. It would be great if they did some beginning orientation to introduce the dog's names or what we should or shouldn't do. They have snacks for the dogs but you need to pay $25 for a jar of snacks. They should instead just give each patron some snacks to give and can purchase more if they wanted. Because as soon as one person bought it, the dogs only care about that one person/pair and the other 5 pairs are just standing around watching. I can only imagine how much snacks the dogs eat this way which just doesn't seem that healthy, especially when one or two of the dogs are just snatching up all the snacks. So for majority of the time, if you didn't buy the snacks, you basically wouldn't get to play with the dogs. The owner/manager just said some of the dogs did tricks and said there's food and drinks if you wanted to purchase, then just went back to slouch behind her chair where you can't really see her or vice versa. I find it strange they serve food when they don't offer you a working restroom which i didn't think was allowed for vendors. Even when one of the dogs was just constantly trying to hump this little girl, the owner didn't do anything.Overall it's an interesting experience, but I wouldn't go again or really recommend people to go.

This cat and dog cafe is adorable. The customer service was very good. My reservation was confirmed very fast. Their beverage and desserts were also good. Cats and dogs were fun. ?

Would not recommend this shop, save yourself the unpleasant experience and go elsewhere!Upon walking in the front entrance, you notice the smell, fur balls and unsanitary conditions. You are asked to read the instructions and put on dirty slippers to enter the cat room. Although the cats are exotic and adorable, they are skinny and have matted fur. One cat was in obvious heat, very vocal and actively menstruating. The gal manning the shop (who was on her phone the entire time) didn't seem care when it was pointed out to her that the cat was bleeding on the floor/furniture. Due to poor cleanliness, we did not order anything to eat/drink. The bathroom was out of order/unavailable for customers. I feel bad for the cats, they deserve better than this.

Very disappointing experience. I am a licensed vet tech with several years of vetmed experience and I have many concerns for this place. I came with my family and first thing we noticed walking in was the smell. The place was not sanitary or clean, although the litter boxes were kept in the back the smell came from the cats themselves. The cats were matted, emancipated, and very poorly kept. There are several cats with poop matted into their fur and you can see their ribs on most cats. Another concerning issue, there was one girl that is HEAVILY pregnant who should NOT be out in the area where people can socialize with her. She looked like she was ready to pop out babies anyday now and she should be kept in a comfortable location that does not have a lot of foot traffic. In addition, we were not introduced to any of the cats and was simply told to read the instructions on the sheet and walk in ourselves after changing into used slippers that are not cleaned between persons. And during our time there, one of the cat was howling with distress noises trying to get out of the socialization room into the back, but the worker simply moved the cat back to where everyone was. The entire experience was very disappointing, we did not order any food or drink because we did not feel the place was sanitary at all. We only stayed for 20 mins of the hour reservation we had. I wish we had a better experience as an animal lover but I am truly concerned for the cats within the cafe for their health…
