December 2023 by Hi Hi
People working here are not friendly or helpful. I was told I’m not able to purchase after 8:30 but right after she told me im not able to purchase she checked another customer out. workers just want to end work on time. Hannah is not a great help. Would rather drive to another location and never visit here again.

Friendly and approachable staff. Curb side pick-up was quick and easy. Also, shout-out to Love who rectified an issue with my order.

PetSmart has a ridiculous policy which requires tetanus shots up to date. While basically all Vets in Canada and especially in BC (including ours), do not recommend them getting tetanus shots. And then PetSmart turns our dog away (1.5 years old) from a grooming session, as his tetanus shot was two weeks out of date. Never getting our business again. What a joke.

This Chinese lady with glasses told me that my 20gal was too small for 2 Goldfish and because of that I wouldn't be eligible for a refund. 1st of all I didn't even know that there's a refund on fish lol and 2nd they keep their fish in way more worse conditions than my aquarium. Like the audacity of this woman/man they/them it. So next time you guys want to buy fish make sure you tell them you have a 100gal aquarium and claim that 14 days return in case they'll die in that time period. I didn't go with the purchase because the no return got me scared now that I know about it lolPs: there's a dead fish everytime I go thereHere's my tanks by the way

One stop shopping, very exciting to visit when you're in love with your pets. Very spacious, clean and well arranged, a lot of foods, treats, toys, clothes, accessories, and other stuffs for your pets. As far as I noticed, they cover dogs off course, cats, fish, birds, reptiles, and other small pets (like rabbits, hamster, guinea pigs, even rats and mice). Although I never used their service, but hard to miss that they also have grooming and training facilities. For the clothes, I found not too many choices, but for food and treats they have quite a lot options to choose. Installing their phone apps is worth it, where we can find promotion info, check stock availability, online shop, book appointment for services, etc.For Petsmart, keep up the good job!

Always fun to walk in to look around at other pets or shop for fish here. It's a bit more expensive unless there's a sale going on, having a membership also helps with the price on certain things. Bought all my fish from this store.

We come here to get our fish supplies. I like that PetSmart has digital receipts. Staff are relatively knowledgeable and very friendly. Too bad management had decided to only have one til open at 5pm. There were several people lining up.

Good selection, but cashier overcharged us today. 6 cans of turkey cat food were purchased, but the cashier counted 12 cans and charged accordingly. We did not spot the error until after we had left the store. I understand mistakes happen but miscounting 2x the actual amount of merchandise bought is disappointing and negligent behaviour from the cashier. I hope this is not a common occurrence as we are now out this money for product we never received.

This is a message for all the kind people concerned about the betta fish:Don’t worry. They’re okay. These fish have a very long and difficult trip when they are imported from Asia but are gently cared for when they arrive.I’ve spoken with the staff since I had similar concerns and even rescued one of these fish.Betta will lose color when stressed. It is possible to revive their color within 12 hours (from experience) under suitable conditions.Their water is changed daily but the lights cause algae to grow rapidly. I experience the same in my planted tank. It’s just a natural process.Yes, some of the fish die and it could be for any reason. They could have been sick prior to capture or perhaps had a rougher trip during import. But I know that the staff do care about them and treat them for disease when and where they can. The fish do not go unnoticed!I’ll post some photos of the fish I saved. The first before/after is only 16 hours apart. You can already see a difference.Note to staff: please be carefully of moldy food in the betta cups.

As I waltzed into Pet Smart with my shopping list in hand, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement bubbling up within me. On my quest for 11 neon tetras, dog food, and other pet essentials, I was prepared for a whirlwind of an experience. And let me tell you, dear readers, Pet Smart did not disappoint! The moment I entered, I was greeted by a symphony of meows, barks, and the gentle swish of fish swimming in their tanks. Like a seasoned conductor, Pet Smart had orchestrated a harmonious blend of products and services to cater to a wide array of pets and pet parents alike. With my eyes set on the aquatic section, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of fish on display. The neon tetras, in particular, caught my attention. They shimmered like tiny aquatic gems, boasting vibrant hues of red and blue. With the help of an attentive staff member, I handpicked 11 of these underwater dazzlers to take home to my own aquatic kingdom.Next on my list was dry and wet dog food, and Pet Smart's selection was nothing short of a canine's dream buffet. From grain-free options to high-protein and even gourmet choices, the variety was extensive and tail-waggingly delightful. I managed to find the perfect balance of nutrition and flavor for my furry companion, leaving me feeling like a true doggy connoisseur. As for the other supplies, Pet Smart offered a plethora of options for both fish and dogs. From aquarium filters and heaters to leashes and chew toys, I found myself lost in a maze of pet care nirvana. The store's organization and knowledgeable staff made navigating through this treasure trove of pet supplies a breeze. In the end, my experience at Pet Smart was akin to a tango with my beloved pets - a dance of delightful discoveries and well-executed moves. With a cart filled to the brim with neon tetras, dog food, and other essentials, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this one-stop pet utopia.Pet Smart, you have truly outdone yourself, leaving this pet parent more than satisfied and ready for an encore. Bravo!

I'd like to give this store one star due to the terrible customer service experience I had yesterday.I visited this store around 3:30 to buy Tetra fishes. I told her that I do have 2 of 3 gallons tanks and how many fishes can I buy. She seemed not intrested to sell those fishes. She said that I need to buy 10 gallon tank before buy any fishes. After a conversion She was agreed to sell 6 fishes 3 for each tank because that's the requirement. When I asked why do you guys have more than 30 in 5 gallon tank isn't that bad for fishes as you said 3 fishes for 3 gallon tank. She told me that they were retail store and have no requirement. I saw some of the beta fishes were in very poor condition on the display. I tried to talk to the manager too but she seemed less interested in listening to me. Anyways I hope those fishes are in good care. Thanks.
