Something wrong with the management of this supermarket, it is the worst attitude I have ever seen. They sell refrigerated meal boxes, but they don‘t provide microwaves. When I asked about microwaves, a girl had a very bad attitude. Why does this supermarket make microwave heating a crime when other supermarkets have microwave services?

I like shopping at Safeway but customer service goes a LONG way. Deeply disappointed in some of the check out staff and the inconsistency of packing customers groceries. I have no problem packing my own groceries but when the check out person stands there and watches me pack my own groceries is pure laziness. Four bags later… not impressed.

In general, the service is very bad. I have been visiting the store for more than three years because I live across the street and the workers are always racist to some extent, they are friendly and smile with the person who is going to pay first, but when it is my their turn to pay, they change their attitude Just today it happened to me, I told the cashier three times thanks and in a very bad way she answered me. I think it is important to provide an excellent service always and to everyone equally.

Customer service could need some improvement. When I was checking out a few products at the till, a couple of boxes of strawberries won’t scan and the cashier went to check the price so it took a while. Meanwhile, the cashier (with should length blonde hair about 60 years old) at the adjacent till told my pregnant friend with another perfectly quiet child in the cart that she is in the way of everyone. The store wasn’t particularly busy at the time. She told her twice while we are waiting for my cashier to finish our transaction; her tone was rude and downgrading. In the end, my cashier still couldn’t figure out the price. We would like to shop here again once the staff get a proper re-education of how to treat customers with a little bit of respect especially when the mishap is on the stores’ end.

The deli at this location has a kind and helpful worker named Aidan. He was able to help me and answer my questions politely and professionally. I would have given 5 stars for Aidan's service alone. The only reason for taking off a star was because of a different deli worker. I asked her for help because she was the one standing right in front of the food (while Aidan was far away washing dishes and could not possibly have seen me standing there). She didn't respond to me at all, just yelled at him twice in a very rude manner. I didn't see her name tag but if management sees this, I would recommend evaluating how your employees are being treated.

I was not impressed at all with my last visit there this afternoon. The cashier I had did not say 1 word to me...not to tell me the total or anything. As she gave me my change she already was grabbing the next persons items to scan. It seemed like a huge inconvenience to scan my scene card app. It is unfortunate there is not an option for zero stars.

The only Safeway left in Richmond. I like the Starbucks that is attached. The butcher usually has some good sales. Lots of produce and a nice flower shop in the back. Helpful and knowledgable staff.

Ordered food platters for lunchtime office meeting, from Safeway Seafair. Very impressed with presentation and the freshness of the food. Can’t thank the deli staff enough, everything was delicious.

When asking about product information or being helped by those reshelving, service was quite adequate from a few of the staff. Seafair Richmond is a community where we mostly set a standard, so service from most people are not an issue. This Safeway has a staff of a diverse ethnicity that are usually helpful, friendly and professional.What confused me is the one brunette(blonde highlights) tanned woman in her late 50s and early 60s, being extremely loud, hostile and rude solely towards only Asian customers. Name tag hidden away by her clothes, and no management held her accountable.There were multiple unprovoked moments as we lined up and observed the outbursts towards targeted customers. One gentlemen was telling her the product had no product code and asked her to help, she refused to help him but had time time to chat up a regular about his day. Another man in line was forced physcially to let someone else cut in line, because according to her "this guy is in a hurry, but you look like you're not." It was not a request but a command, as she continues her rampage other customers such as us were both appalled and embarrassed.Based on previous Google reviews it's not the first time she's been spotted in the wild.As of PM Feb 15th 2023 she is in charge of the self checkout aisles, good luck whenever coming here.
