This is the worst Scotia bank I have ever visited. The wait for a teller is min. 30-45 mi s any time of the day. The staff are unfriendly and slow.

SCOTIABANK at Richmond Center is a Federally Regulated Financial Institution, yet they placed a hold on a Government issued cheque. Escalating this matter to the branch manager did nothing, as she washed her hands and refused to assist. To top it off, when she was asked who to contact to file a complaint, she provided a wrong number tbat was not even in service. DiSGUSTING SERVICE LEVELS AT THIS BRANCH! Stay far away!!!

Do not recommend. Not flexible. Supervisor advised she will check in with her back office and get back us the Monday after the Saturday when we dropped in for our request. She didn't get back to us for two weeks. We went back in two weeks later and was advised that she is still waiting to hear back. One week later we still didn't hear back. This is not acceptable customer service especially we just opened our account with Scotiabank. We would appreciate an updated even they can't assit with our request.

I recently visited this Scotia branch and was disappointed to find that their procedures differ significantly from the bank's advertised policies. This inconsistency led to unnecessary delays and wasted a lot of my time. Would not recommend.

Good location but less than satisfactory customer support. Refused to provide service on three different occasions. Every time I will go to another bank afterwards and my business will be solved immediately. But this bank provides the worst customer support.

The south-Asian looking female staff that dealt with my acct over the counter was very incompetent. They increased the balance of ultimate acct from 5k to 6k which led to my acct paying mgt fee for Oct and Nov. She said Scotia sent letters and I should've updated my address. I was out of the country for a few months and I expect such important change be delivered to the client via all communication channels such as emails, mail, app inbox, etc. She just folded her arms and said she couldn't rebate the fees. She also mentioned that I had a fee rebate last year. That was a difference senario and shouldn't be held against me if she read the notes!Also, why do I need to visit the bank to update my address! I should be able to do it online!But that's not all. I decided to leave a comment because I called Scotia customer service and was reminded that this incompetent employee failed to mention to me when she downgraded my chequeing account that I'd have to pay for my credit card annual fees, and failed to disclose to me that when I want to cancel my credit card that I could transfer my balance (negative) to my other account.Just avoid the branch and go for tele banking unless an in-person visit is absolutely required.

Very poor management waited for 2 hours for the bank draft the assistance manager is stupid and unprofessional didn’t solve the costumer request didn’t say sorry to the costumer for sitting that long. Scotia bank is the worst bank in Canada especially the management in Scotia they never seen big money

worst customer service I had ever. I came to withdraw some cash and the guy who act like senior advisor questioned me why I don’t use ABM and unwilling to help me with that. He doesn’t care client or what happened to the client. I can only feel the unprofessional and disrespectful attitude. It’s time to close all my scotiabank accounts. Very disappointing.

About a week ago I went to this branch of Scotiabank to pay a credit card bill, the banker who is an Asian chick with dyed blond hair said it's not possible to do it in person and the only way would be the ATM or online banking, a week later I went to another Scotiabank branch in Richmond and paid the bill just like that in person.
