I had a very disappointing experience at this store. I have shopped at Zara many times in different stores and countries and have never had an issue before.
Unfortunately, the staff I encountered at the Richmond store Super Rude and unprofessional. The night-shift cashier (white blonde-haired girl) and the male manager(with ear piercings) responded to my questions in a rude and dismissive manner while I was processing a return. Their attitude made me feel uncomfortable and not respected as a customer.
I hope Zara’s higher management will take customer feedback seriously and review the recurring concerns raised in previous
comments and reviews. This does not appear to be an isolated incident, and it reflects poorly on the store’s overall customer service.
For reference, I visited this store in the evening on January 22, 2026.

Worst store location ever. Worst staff and worst staff behaviour and attitude. Zara should take this seriously and trained their staff on soft skills as they behave very rudely and do not know the company’s policy. I had the worst experience of my life. Really disappointed. This will affect the zara in long term if they do not take it seriously on customer experience.

Extremely dissapointed with employee 23536 . She was not helpful at all and quite rude when assisting. I will not be returning to shop in this store . After reading all your reviews I would assume someone higher up will look into the customer service at your Richmond location

I did purchased a pair of cowboy boots online at Black Friday sale and I got a pair of 2 LEFT side cowboy boots which one is size 38 and one is size 40. I was very upset and brought it into the store at Richmond Center location and talked to the store manager about my frustration. The store manager who is a gentleman knew my frustration and being patiently to find a pair of the boots for me and try to explain the system differences between online and physical stores. I really appreciate his help and for sure I’ll be a loyal customer to Zara always.

Holy yikes… something is seriously off with the management and staff training at this store. Reading through other reviews, it’s clear my experience wasn’t a one-off. Many customers have reported similar problems for years, and it’s disappointing to see that nothing seems to have changed.

This place has no customer service at all. The policy of the fitting room does not make any sense. No waiting in the fitting room? Come on! And the manager made it worse by escalating the matter.

Terrible customer service. The employees are extremely rude and seem like they don’t even want to be there. You often have to wait around 10 minutes just to reach the cashier, and most of the time there’s only one person working.

The girl in the fitting room was so rude, as someone who used to work in retail it would’ve been appreciative if you could say it nicely without a condescending tone. If it was a store policy to hang our clothes back at least write it down about it in the fitting room not everyone knows about it. This feels like it needs more staff training if staff are having a bad day then don’t bring it to work it’ll bring negative views towards the brand and the store.

Terrible service at the men’s section. The asian staff lady with a big forehead in her 30s didn’t even greet customers, ignored everyone, and gossiped with other staff instead of helping. Zero effort in customer care.

I tried to return or exchange a suit jacket which had a hole in the front pocket. The manager was very disrespectful. She first said that they do not return damaged products (even though it was damaged prior to purchasing). Then she said we could exchange it, but changed her mind and said she wouldn't. She then called me rude and called security. She also accused me of damaging it and said items shouldn't be put in the pocket. Thankfully the security guy was more respectful and kind and I left. This was awful customer service and after seeing other reviews, I can see why people would shop online than dealing with such rude workers.
I would give zero stars if it was possible.

If I could give it a minus5 stars, I would. Terrible experience at this location of Zara store. I was there shopping with my daughter and, of course, wanted to see the items she was trying on. I was there for a few minutes, before some 15 yrs old (or so) approached me and told me to leave and go to another side of the fitting room. She gave an impression that she suspected me of wanting to steal something. I have never been more humiliated. It seems that Zara treats everyone as a potential thief. Therefore we left the store without a purchase and will never step into Zara again. I will also make sure all my friends know about my horrible experience with Zara.
