We recently stayed at a 3-star hotel/spa for three nights for our anniversary celebration and unfortunately, it was quite underwhelming and stressful. The hotel rooms were nothing out of the ordinary, resembling those of a REGULAR budget hotel. However, the real disappointment came with the spa facilities and customer service. Despite the promise of relaxation, the spa fell short of expectations. The amenities were lacking, steam room broken, sauna is super small and the overall experience was far from relaxing.Additionally, the customer service left much to be desired; most staff members seemed indifferent and unresponsive to guest needs. The Hydropth session was interesting, despite the rush and impolite attendant hurrying things up.To top it off, the exorbitant prices only added insult to injury, making the whole experience feel like a colossal waste of time and money. If you’re seeking relaxation, look elsewhere, as this hotel/spa is more likely to induce stress than alleviate it.

I went there for a Massage! Maria is a attentive and experienced therapist, I recommend! The view of the water is breathtaking too.

Our anniversary getaway at this spa was a complete disappointment. Not only were the nightly rates exorbitant, but the entire experience fell short of our expectations. The initial room we were provided with had inadequate blackout curtains, and at first staff didn’t seem to see that as an issue. Took longer than I would expect to address the issue. The spa pool and hot tub were dirty, with visible black sediments lining the bottom.Despite assurances of operational sauna and steam cave facilities, the steam cave was out of order for the duration of our stay, and the tiny sauna failed to reach appropriate temperatures (definitely less than 70C), leaving us feeling more frustrated than relaxed. The highlight of the SPA would have been the hydropath experience but that was also subpar, with uninterested and unempathetic spa personnel.I registered a complaint at the front desk and got 10% off our nightly rate. At that point I honestly didn’t have enough energy to explain that this was negligible compared to the overall exorbitant price. There’s no chance we’re returning to this ‘spa’.

All around wonderful experience. Spectacular service, beautiful renovations, delicious food. Very relaxing and comfortable.Rooms: Beautifully Renovated rooms with everything you need and then some. With a breath taking view. Very clean and comfortable. Pent house is worth every penny.Nearby activities: Spa is beautiful and very relaxing, walking distance from room. Sit in the garden in your robe for a relaxing cool down.

My hubby and I came here for our first night away from the kids in 6 months. The rooms are perfectly appointed to be laid back, spacious, yet elegant enough for the price. Especially enjoyed the fur throws everywhere. The complimentary robes for the walk through the colourful yet oddly serene garden oasis to the hottub feels like you’re in this private world. We accidentally booked into the Ocean 7 restaurant instead of the bistro and spent way too much money but it was probably one of the best meals we’ve ever had.Combined w an afternoon on the Cumbie bike trails, we left completely rested and refreshed.Note that you’ll have to drive anywhere as Royston is small and remote

My wife and I stayed at the Kingfisher this in February 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I can't speak highly enough of the professionalism of all of the staff from front desk, spa, restaurant and bar.The resort is going through some renovations to update the rooms and certain areas throughout. Having said that, we didn't notice any construction noise or anything that would intrude on a nice getaway. Kudos to the resort for accomplishing this while having guests staying there. We were lucky enough to stay in a newly renovated room which was tastefully done. The radiant heating on the bathroom floors is a nice touch for the winter months. The king size bed was comfortable and overall we were very happy.Highlights:Putting aside the obvious which is the spectacular views, the restaurant a bar were a major stand out. Shoutout to Annie behind the bar who was nothing short of amazing and a true asset to the resort. She mentioned she had been there only 4 months, but her professionalism and bar skills were a real treat. Well done Annie! The restaurant was excellent as both the food and service were top tier. The menu prices reflect this but I'm a firm believer in getting what you pay for, and its well worth it here.Constructive feedback:Just about everything was great but figured we'd share a couple notes on some minor fixes that others may appreciate. In the restaurant, you offer some beautiful wines by the bottle that are upwards of $260 (Tignanello yum!), but these types of wines are deserving a nice big cabernet wine glass or Bordeaux style wine glass. I think having some beautiful wine glasses available when guests order a nice bottle would go a long way.Given that this a spa resort, and a lot of time is spent in the spa or pools, upgrading the robes in the room would be a nice touch. They seemed a little old and not quite as cozy as they could be. A small detail but something to consider! Finally, we had a great experience in the spa and wanted to charge it to our room. This wasn't an issue but I was never asked to sign anything and therefore include a tip for my practitioner. Perhaps that is the goal to not ask for tips by making that transaction seamless, but I would think most people tip at a spa resort and would likely go a long way for you staff!Overall, a wonderful stay and look forward to the next time.

Resort need a big renovation specially SPA. Pool and hot tub were dirty with lots of worms inside. Jets in hot tub not working, Steam room and Dry Sauna falling apart. Steam smell like mold and rust, there is holes on the seats, rocks and shells falling down from the walls and ceiling. Wooden sticks on the wall falling down in dry sauna. On my complaints about dirt and worms no one show up to clean during my stay there.

Went for brunch with friends who were staying in a suite. The suite - lovely. View from the room - gorgeous. Waitress in the dining room - prompt, attentive. Eggs Benedict - mediocre at best. Salty hollandaise that was very, very cheesey. For $27, absolutely not worth it.

Usually love visiting the spa here. Whatever you do, do NOT book a manicure here. I was charged $275 for two manicures both of which started chipping after 1.5 days. I was informed 2 days before the service date that they do not use gel polish nor remove any old gel polish. I literally cannot believe they charge that much for a regular polish manicure…. mind blown.Noteworthy details: Spa
