Just went in the store to get hamburger meat for shepherd's pie. No meat !! And they want $10 for potatoes and 2.99 for a can of soup. Are you out of your minds??

Good quality food at a really competitive price and great sales. Super friendly staff. We often order for delivery and once in awhile an issue has come up with an error in the order or expiry date days away. Amazing customer service who have given us credits or refunds if issues come up.FYI - the delivery team is managed by a separate save-on-foods group not associated with the store so the store manager/staff don’t have full control over them. I was upset about a missed delivery, they were super apologetic and provided a refund even though it wasn’t their fault. I felt terrible when I found out the deliveries aren’t under the store’s control specially.

Last time I shop here. Broccoli is on sale for $2.99 a pound. At the self-checkout, it doesn't tell you what it costs, only what it costs before the discount and then what you save with the Save-On card, so it doesn't even show you what you're actually paying. It also shows the weight in kilos, not pounds. The self-checkout assistant was very argumentative and I was just trying to find out what I was paying for a product. I was pretty much done with Save-On before this due to their prices and so-so selection. I'm definitely done now.

Pretty disappointed. I have been in there twice in the last month and either they didn't have it in stock or only had 1 or 2 left and I wanted more than that. Guess what, I can order unlimited items to my door online from Amazon, etc delivered to my door for free and zero issues or spending valuable time or gas to drive to your stores.

Save-On-Foods, a grocery chain firmly rooted (and had its beginnings as Overwaitea) in BC. Big stores with good quality fruits and veg. Be sure to get your reward card so that you receive the sale price on items. Kinda like Airmiles, you can use points to buy things from the catalog. Lately, I find it takes forever to rack up enough points to make them useful unlike years ago when you got lots of points. Still, one of my favourite grocery stores to do your weekly shop at.

The sushi here is very very bad. The Wasabi was a dark green runny grossness. The ginger was 1 peice about 1cm×1cm. The spicy California roll was dry, and lacked flavor. As I ate it it felt uncomfortable in my stomach. Just tasteless inadequate nauseating sushi. BEWARE!!

Definitely no " extra mile" at this store... Extremely poor customer service... I use this location a few times a month. Will not return. They should not have a flower department if nobody on staff can help with an order after 4 pm ... Thrifties saved the day... Good bye to this location for sure.

Overall, the best Save On in Vic, the Senior Staff are really good and helpful. If you don't want a super slow check-out guy, avoid George, dude should get the award for consistent but also, the slowest in the West. Art is an interesting guy, super personable, his check-out is a treat. Overall, wish they had wine at this location like Sidney. Also wish they had self-serve chicken wings like Downtown and Oak Bay. Overall, recommend it.

Treat paying customers like theives. Searching people's bags as they go through the self checkout. I had some kid rudely man-handle my groceries, only to find I wasn't stealing. He flat out discriminated against me and said I looked like a theif when I asked what he was doing with my groceries. This has been my go-to grocery store for years, but i won't be returning to this location after being treated with such discrimination.

Store is big. I got lost but that's not a bad thing. Staff was extremely helpful. Would get a 5 if the deli was open later. I understand staffing issues in Victoria.

I buy my groceries here regularly and in return, they make sure I don't go completely broke by keeping their prices low. One of the best relationships I've ever been in, 5 stars.P.S. Love the Save-On-Foods card.
