For holidays or Thanksgiving, weekend truck would not start ended up being the battery posts were dirty and had to be replaced a couple parts. These are the nicest and the best gentleman around. It was 1:25 in the afternoon when we showed up. And they did it for us to get us on our way to pavilion lake..

We are a group of 3 woman traveling from Calgary on our way to Tofino. We took a stop in Salmon Arm to get gas and accidentally put diesel into our gas tank. We ended up driving for a couple km until we heard a noise coming from our car. We stopped immediately and tried to start the car and the poor thing didn’t start.

We were terribly worried knowing the common occurrence around woman getting over charged by mechanics. Us not knowing anything, we went to the near by shop and asked for good reputable car servicing locations. Action Safety was listed but unfortunately they didn’t have availability until Wednesday. We called around and it seemed every mechanic was booked until the next day. Cutting our losses on making it to Vancouver that night, we decided it might be more worth it to rent a car and leave ours at a reputable mechanic over the week of our trip.

After towing our car to the shop, the owner was able to look at it right away and was confident he could even get us out by the end of the day. We were SO grateful for this quick service as it meant we could still make our 10:40pm ferry ride to Vancouver Island and also not need to rent a car?.

When asking for how much everything would cost, they were so very transparent and didn’t overcharge us on any thing. It’s so nice to know that there are places that are like this! We were able to get our car back in 1.5 hours and she works just as she did before we poisoned her with diesel haha! We were explained our charges and it matches with everything we were told at the beginning!

“Drove down from Alaska on the way to Tahoe a few months ago and the rear differential on my on my 05' Outback gave out just outside of Salmon Arm. Called around a bit and Stan's was the only shop in the area willing to take a look at it that day. After confirming the rear differential was the issue and the wait time for a new part was determined to be of some delay, a friend of our mechanics was willing and able to sell the rear differential off of a vehicle of his, and all work was completed by noon the following day. They also helped in deciding on what arrangements to make for the night in Salmon Arm. Great Family and a great buisness!!”
