“Have you ever wanted that little library in your home with the endless shelves and rolling ladder? Then this is your place. The tall shelves packed out with books back-to-back almost made me feel like Belle in that Beauty and the Beast library. Not to mention their selection was fantastic! Lots of big, well known authors but also many smaller and local scribes. I ended up picking a book about growing garlic and a children’s book about 3 Pacific Northwest bears while my girlfriend filled her arms comedically with books. The gentleman that helped us at the counter was also very nice and helped us with all our questions. If you are enjoying the peace and quiet of salt spring and want some quiet entertainment, if you hate supporting “Big Book” (Indigo/Chapters), and if you love the variety and whimsy of a true local book store, Black Sheep is a must stop.”
