I visited Davon’s today on January 3rd, to exchange a pair of shoes. Unfortunately, the sizing options were very limited, so we had to take out a few boxes to compare sizes and decide properly.
While we were doing this, the manager came out from the back and immediately approached us in an extremely rude and aggressive tone. She pointed at an empty pink shoe box on the counter and said, “WHERE ARE THE SHOES? WHAT DID YOU DO WITH THE SHOES?”
At first, I genuinely didn’t understand what she was referring to the box was pink, and the shoes we were exchanging were not in a pink box so I explained that we didn’t know what that box was for. She then continued in the same harsh tone, saying, “WHERE ARE THE GREY SHOES? WHAT DID YOU DO TO THEM?”
Once I realized what she meant, I immediately showed her where the shoes were. She did not apologize, thank us, or acknowledge her mistake in any way.
What made the experience even more uncomfortable was watching her interact with other customers afterward, rolling her eyes and gesturing toward her head as if customers were “crazy” when they asked questions. As someone who also works in customer service, I find this behavior completely unacceptable, especially from a manager.
The only reason people continue to shop here is because the front cashiers and floor staff are consistently kind, helpful, and respectful. They truly carry this store. Management needs to do better, because this type of behavior drives customers away.

I was on a wild goose chase for the elusive perfect shoe for a wedding. I have grown up shopping at this mall, and always head straight to the usual suspects. Have walked by Devon so many times but never actually have gone inside. Their sales associate Raman was so wonderful that I had to come leave her some stars! She was so interested in finding me the right shoe, even though they were in the middle of a massive sale and extremely busy. This woman flies, I don’t think I have seen an employee run around while keeping everyone’s requests in order so well in many years. They were honest when I asked for opinions as I was shopping alone which was so appreciated. I did not find the shoe I wanted (I also hadn’t found it at like 7 other stores) but trust that the very first shoe store I head to when I go to Guildford Mall will be this one. I know how hard it is to find staff like this - and the other employee was equally as lovely. Thanks Raman! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I came in a while back and Jasmeen helped me out. The customer service was excellent and she was just so kind and helpful. She knew exactly what I was looking for and it made the process so much better! Definitely recommend Devon Shoes!

During my visit, I interacted with a woman she said her name is Cindy, who identified herself as the store manager. I had come to return a pair of shoes that were unworn (except for under 15 minutes indoors) and well within the buyer’s remorse return period. I was abiding by the company policy. The shoes were completely clean and undamaged, but unfortunately, they were uncomfortable for me.
Despite explaining this to Cindy and even offering to exchange the pair for a different size or style, she flatly refused to process the return. She harassed us in the store and told us she will not accept the shoes she had no just cause. Moreover wasted our time and fuel. What was even more upsetting was her rude and dismissive attitude, which made the entire experience frustrating and unpleasant, especially after driving more than an hour to get to the store.
Her behaviour was not only unprofessional, but unacceptable, particularly from someone claiming to be in a managerial position. We left the store with no resolution, extremely disappointed by the lack of basic customer service and courtesy.

I shopped here today and the person who helped me did a great job. However, I cannot get over how there was a TIPPING OPTION when I went to pay. This is beyond offensive and I will not be shopping here again. I will also be telling everyone who will listen about this ridiculous experience.
Again, the person who helped me was great. If the owner feels that they deserve more pay then just pay them more instead of offending customers.
I can see the owner is responding to others mentioning the tip option by stating that it is customers that have requested the tip option. I’d bet that, of all the things that never happened, that didn’t happen the most.
