Hi all
First of all ..THIS IS NOT A PAID REVIEW.
I am sharing my views about this place .
No doubt we get many essential things of our use at this store but no more now this store sells things only at A DOLLAR price...!!!yes...in the beginning it was according to its name ..now things also come there in 3$ ,4$, 5$ per piece.
Yes it's true ...so whenever you go there ..don't think all things will cost only single dollars .
Variety is there(TOYS,DISPOSABLE ITEMS,LIGHT CLOTHING LIKE SOCKS ,LIGHT MAKE UP ITEMS,DRINKS,CANDIES,STATIONARY ETC)
Staff is also cooperative.
Again same problem which I found mostly at many stores...that there is no public washroom...
In case of any urgency by the customer,where he or she will go .
There should be a common public washroom at all dollar stores.(IT IS A UTMOST PRIORITY).

The security was very harassing towards me, at closing time. I only needed to run and grab one more item before I was om my way to pay for everything. On my way to the register, he then said I wasn't allowed and had to leave the store. When I asked his name? He turned and asked, why? When I replied that I wanted make a complaint, he then ignored me and say he didnt have to tell me seeing there was no name tag.So I went to pay, but as soon as he seen me at the door when I was leaving. Began to harass me again. He was now trying to justify his action in the store,even if I was a paying customer. I don't understand why and how security guards are allowed to treat customers like that .I also don't see why someone who thinks he has authority doesn't have a name tag, for incidents like this, or??? Does this kind of thing reflect on the entire company. Seeing how there is only the companies name that is being represented by every single security guard and themselves...

Disappointing Experience: I regret to say that my experience with this store was far from satisfactory. I would encourage others to compare prices with other retailers before making a purchase here, as their return and exchange policy is one of the most restrictive I’ve encountered. Additionally, the product quality does not match the price, leaving much to be desired.

Worker at the dollar store was watching over my shoulder like a hawk at the self checkout and offered to scan stuff for me and told me not to bag my stuff at the checkout and wait till I paid for all of it so I said its ok it I'll just put it in my backpack I don't need a bag I guess and then I didn't have enough room in my bag and by then he was still watching me and watching me pay with cash and my cash was all wrinkly so it wasn't working well and then yeah I asked for a bag after and he was like CAN I SEE YOUR RECIEPT? so I was like "its fine" and left with stuff in my hands. I paid for all my stuff, and don't even look like a bad person. You probably lost so much revenue watching the wrong person lol. Do better.

We went today at 6.57pm and the store was opened till 7pm. two guys were on the doors saying we are closed and I asked them that you guys have still 3min but he said wait a minute let me check with my supervisor and he came back at 7 say sorry we are closed. Even I mentioned I just need AA batteries.

Insane long lineup. Employee standing there telling me to self checkout. No thank you. I don't work here and people need jobs. Watched a lady grab an arm full of stuff and add it to the small amount of items her son had already rang through on self checkout. Unpaid and stolen. Walked right out and past the male employee who was yelling at everyone to use self checkout. Why have an employee standing around? He didn't even catch a blatantly obvious theft. Put him on a till and close self checkouts. Self checkouts clearly aren't the way. The area was an unorganized disaster and there is no way to be sure everything is truly paid for. In my 10 minutes in the store, I saw a large theft. How much are you really saving by forcing people to use self checkouts when they just decide to steal instead?

2 seconds after paying I found out what I bought was broken. The lady at the till saw it was broken as well, but she wouldn't let me exchange or refund or anything
Update: about 90% of my visits have no issues. Prices are definitely going up sadly as never before have i ever paid $5 for anything until yesterday. Its also frustrating how they want you to use electronic checkout, which is bullocks, as so many issues arise with those machines that the cashier has to walk over every minute to fix a error, hense, always a long line

I think Dollarama is not really good at providing jobs or employment to the students like me and most of their employees always say no to accept resume for job they always tell me that there are no jobs so your resume will just go in the dustbin. I felt so bad and i think dollrama need to give other new students a chance and need to control their previous workers who behave like the boss of the business.?
