About Hunter Park (Heritage park)

Hunter Park, also known as Heritage Park, is a lovely and quiet place perfect for summer outings. It features a newer well-built playground, plenty of open space for picnics, and a small play area for children. The park is shaded by many trees, making it a great spot to escape the heat. While there are a couple of benches and picnic tables available, visitors suggest that more seating would enhance the picnic experience. Historically, Hunter Park has a rich background, having been established in 1940 as a thriving dairy farm owned by David and Ruth Hunter. The park was acquired by the City of Surrey in 1993, and the heritage house still stands on the corner of 184 and 54. David Hunter became well-known for his expertise in Guernsey dairy cows, contributing to the park's historical significance. Overall, Hunter Park offers a blend of natural beauty, recreational facilities, and historical charm, making it a delightful destination for families and picnics.
