The supermarket specialises in products from East and Southeast Asia. When compared to other Asian supermarkets in town, the alleys are quite wide.Staff is kind, and the food is fresh. It's never crowded, and I can always locate whatever Asian groceries I require.Meat and poultry are reasonably priced here. Also, with plenty of parking, a shop where you can get all of your Asian components.

Lucky’s is clean, organized and has an amazing selection of Asian groceries. We were around for lunchtime so we ordered Bahn Mi from the Deli counter. The bread is so nice and very crisp (without ripping the roof of your mouth). Generously filled with fresh veggies, plenty of meat, mayo and pate. It’s a solid sandwich for 5.69 (#2, Cold Cut). We also bought a roast duck from the hot counter for $33.99! A great stop if you’re in the area.

The staff was so helpful an the selection of exotic fruits was excellent. Anyone wanting to try durian should get a king durian from here because unlike the ones any where else the ones here aren’t frozen an are of highest quality. The staff are knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. All in all neat place!

The worst shopping experience due to the poor service in the meat area and I mean nothing more than the Chinese, I was asking for beef neck and they told me that they didn't have, they sent me somewhere else so that I could look for it myself and they laughed at me, I am Mexican and I felt discriminated against by the Chinese this happened in the meat area where the pork and meat legs are they were specifically two Chinese one tall with red cachucha and a chaparra of glasses and ponytail, they yelled at me, they laughed at me and they never gave me what I was looking forFrom what I see on the website they promise a dignified treatment and the best shopping experience, having this type of people I doubt they have it, a lady from the other meat area asked me what was going on and I told her everything, very kind of course and she did give me what I was looking for,Even when I arrived at the cashier to pay, I told the Chinese that I was attending and I was completely ignored she didn't ask me for details far from it, she didn't even greet me, she didn't even tell me how much I should pay she only pointed to the terminal for the card and when we left she told us to leave the car the same with a degrading treatment

Security guard in the grocery is something I have not heard of in BC. I have not encountered a security guard in Canada inside a grocery. Even worse was that the guard asked me to leave my gym bag to the counter (gym is just a few steps away from the grocery)- it's so annoying I'm just buying lottery. I've been to high risk establishment here in BC like banks, specialized store that sells expensive stuff but had no security guard. Come on Lucky Supermarket the stuff you sell is not even worth $200 even if you fill up a bag! Have we gone that low?? Your security personnel even wears a replica bulletproof vest - why don'y you arm him with a shot gun to shoot the shoplifters? It's really crazy. My suggestion if you'll ask me is to follow something similar to Costco wherein there's a person that check receipt upon exit. Or if you're truly that low on trusting people, why don't you ask your security guard to spot shoplifters but stepping on an elevated box. Stand by the entrance. That way he can easily spot shoplifters. Same as they do in Asia!

On our way to the pet store next door I noticed very satisfied faces eating sandwiches infront of Lucky Supermarket. My wife and I headed inside to try. Unbelievable quality of food coming out of the kitchen. We split a chicken sate sandwich and bbq pork on rice. Everything tasted unbelievably fresh. Flavors on point with every bite. We were both very full and satisfied. We will definitely be back soon. What a gem this place is! Our bill was under twenty dollars.
