If you’re looking for bridal outfits, look else where. They demand an appointment which is fine but when it came to my appointment the owner (wife) was not friendly or supportive and their assistant had her arms crossed the whole time. The owner (husband) is much nicer and very kind but he wasn’t there for my appointment. They have a selection of bridal lenghas in the back but they are not size inclusive and they really don’t have very many modern options. Extremely disappointed in their customer service. I got my sweet 16 lengha from here 10 years ago and they’ve gone so downhill since then.

I had a great experience shopping here for a dress for my nikah ceremony & ended up getting another dress at that time I’ll use for Eid because it was too nice to pass up, & came back again for my walima dress. They had the best selection of dresses from the stores I looked at with lots of different styles, & the staff were very helpful to me to help me find a dress that covered up chest, back, & arms even though that’s not necessarily the normal style they helped me find pieces that would work for me & show me lots of options.

Don’t waste your time and money at this place! The owner and staff will lie through their teeth to cheat you out of your money. Disgraceful.

These people should be ashamed of themselves. I bought a lengha for $1100 and realized it didn’t suit me when I got home. They agreed to exchange it, however, they then tried to tell me they sold it to me for $600. They never gave an itemized receipt so they knew they could make up whatever number. How rotten. I can’t describe these people as nothing but liars and thieves. Never going back!

I wanted to give a revised review of my experience at Made in India. They took care of me and got me my outfit on time. I’m pleased with the service and will be going back.

The outfits in this store are very nice. I would say the selection is much better than a couple other wedding stores I visited in Surrey. Beautiful outfits but even the non bridal is very over priced. If you can’t get them from India or an online store from India then this place is your best option. The only negative is the store owners lack customer service. I booked an appt and came back to see the outfit I initially tried on but brought more family to help me make a decision. I was not allowed to FaceTime my sister, who could not make it. I understand that they are concerned that people will take pictures or will find the same or similar item cheaper. Therefore, I understand the policy of no pictures. But that outfit is on their Instagram page with multiple pictures. Therefore, I felt like the logic to “hide it” wasn’t there. Then while wearing the outfit, I was looking at my phone at a video of a different outfit from India, that I was also considering (it was between these two). I had the phone flat my hand, so that it’s clear I was not trying to take any pictures. I was still not allowed to do that, and he could not provide me with any reason or logic behind it, except that these are his rules and to respect it. He explained that a lot of girls come to the store and the rules apply to everyone and he doesn’t want people wasting his time. He doesn’t understand that spending $6000 on an outfit is going to take time in making a decision and he can’t expect people to go in and out and not compare with other choices. Plus, this was a second booking which shows I’m serious. I also told him that both my sisters purchased their wedding outfits from him. The India outfit was $2k less. He said his prices are also based on the service he is providing and that in India, I was not getting any service. I did correct him and let him know that my parents were getting amazing service there which includes lunch during each appointment. I should have told him that I spent a total of 6hrs via FaceTime through multiple days choosing my wedding outfits, and that the service was amazing despite not physically being there. When I asked him if I could have a private conversation with my family that I brought with me, he was hovering around us to make sure we were not taking any pictures of the surrounding outfits. It was very uncomfortable. It was the most strangest experience. But the outfits are beautiful. Keep in mind that if you go there, just to avoid any conflict don’t even touch your phone or take it out of your purse. He wants you to make a fast uninformed decision which is better for his business. His wife also never had a smile on her face. She came across as unfriendly and miserable. You would hope that the customer service would be amazing for wedding shopping given the price. It was not a good experience. Other stores I went to in Surrey were lenient when I tried to FaceTime or take pictures (this was during my first round of shopping). I think the owner has really bad anxiety by thinking that you have connections to an amazing seamstress in India that can replicate his outfits or that you will do research to find similar for cheaper. I guess this is understandable as I’m sure he puts a lot of work into finding the outfits. Despite everything being over priced, good customer service will go very long way. At the end, I was very irritated as I felt like there was no logic with his rules as the outfit was on his Instagram page. I did not want to give him my business after all that. Therefore, I decided to go with India. India is ahead of the fashion and the price is much more reasonable. The lack of customer service tainted all of our moods. I would recommend that before making a final decision on an outfit there, you get them to put it on the mannequin after you tried it on. I am very fortunate that my parents decided to book a last minute flight to India so that I had better options.

The wife of the owner has no customer service skills. She was very arrogant. Owner of the store and all the helpers were extremely helpful. Wife needs to learn some skills and put smile on her face. I think she was forced to work there.

We had a good experience with Made in India. The wedding clothes were beautiful, perfectly fitted, exactly as we asked them to make, and arrived exactly when they said they would.

Lady kept following me around and watching me. Made me feel super uncomfortable. I didn’t have any bags with me so I dont know why I felt like I was being treated like a thief. I’m a bloody social worker. I prob make more money than the lady who was following me

GARBAGE! Owner is absolutely disrespectful and snarky. They take advantage of young girls and over charge. No custom service skills. Tried to force me to buy a ripped up and used suit. Asked for my deposit back as they lied and said I would be getting a new piece 3 weeks before a wedding event. Owner was following me around harassing me to purchase something else instead as I said I wouldn’t be purchasing any outfits. I would rate this a -0 if I could! I honestly felt uncomfortable trying outfits on … I heard lots of bad reviews but I still wanted to give them a fair chance, now I understand what people actually say about this store.

Owner is money hungry and very arrogant, constantly kept forcing me to buy suits I did not want to buy. Told me when I put something on hold I have to buy it. He’s very disrespectful and the prices are not worth the suits they sell. He kept following me and my cousin around and kept harassing us and yelling at us in an aggressive way. It’s humiliating how he chooses to treat his customers in this manner. Yelling at people is not normal. He was selling a ripped up suit that clearly looked old and used for $1300.
