I would like to comment on my experience using Pods for the first time during my home total renovation. The unit was dropped off and leveled in my driveway right on the scheduled time period. Customer service was polite and helpful and covered off any issues I had. I had the Pod for 2 months and it was great as it did not leak any water and was totally secure. I arranged my pick up date and the truck showed up right on time and the young driver Jeffrey easily picked up the Pod and was on his way in no time at all. He was very polite and attentive to my property and I would highly recommend the use of Pods to anyone that has storage and or moving needs. Cheers M Pilcher

Pathetic service and zero communication. They were very proactive to deliver the container and then pick up the container from nybplave but after that I feel I have been held hostage without any clear answer from them!! I chose pods because of it being a reputed corporate company. They have no idea of what they are doing and misrepresent what they are doing!! Never ever use them that will be my advice!

Unbelievable phone experience to try to get a quote!
First, I'm told my my postal quote is in a remote area so they can't give me a quote. The postal code given was Downtown Vancouver!! When they search by address, they agreed, that it is not a remote area, but that the address is in a different city: Vancouver. I asked them to clarify and they say it's not in "Downtown Vancouver, there is no city called downtown vancouver".
I chose to ignore this and try to power through, next they tell me "it looks like there is no driveway at the location of origin". Obviously not when your are moving from a building downtown any city.... I tell them no, there isn't, and they start explaining what a driveway is and that everybody has a driveway. I explained again, not with most building. Then I get told "where do ypu expect is to drop the Pod then?" Isn't that their business model? Shouldn't they help the customer figuring that one out? Nope... they are only here to move suburbs to suburbs I guess....
Update: @Pods Moving & Storage Have you even read my review? How do you expect me to provide a customer ID, I couldn't even get a quote from you?

After spending hours booking and confirming, payment was received, and their online portal showed everything was in order. A few days later, they refused delivery to downtown Vancouver, despite us having a street permit and security. They didn't send a cancellation email as they promised over the phone, and removed all records from their portal. Completely unreliable and unprofessional. I would avoid them at all cost!

I had a bit of trouble with my initial call, there was so much to understand, but Miguel walked me through it. I called back because I forgot something and Crissy completely blew me away with fantastic customer service. The gentleman who dropped off my POD went above and beyond to fit the POD where I wanted it. Easiest move ever. Thank you PODS team.

I had to move unexpectedly and this company made it so much easier. They answered all my questions and provided what I needed. I found booking online a helpful option. The POD was delivered and picked up in a timely fashion and I was notified by phone and email during the entire process. My driver, Stephanie W, was amazing. She maneuvered the POD like a pro and gave me great confidence that my items would be safe on the road and in storage. I highly recommend this company.

I just cancelled an order. I talked to an agent and have been left on hold for over 30 minutes without any explanation as to why i was on hold so long, while he cancelled the order. Terrible customer service. Your exit survey asked if I would use your service again and the answer is "no". Not with this kind of service.

We have had a terrible experience with mice investing our 2 pods in the Surrey, Canada location. I've cleaned it out twice before and thrown out a ton of stuff that was eaten or had feces on it. Today was my third time... and once again... mice feces everywhere.

I am having a terrible experience (ongoing) with PODS. We got their services for our Canada-US move and rented a 16ft container for that. The delivery and pick up of container was very timely. However, our nightmare started after that. We are supposed to be physically present in the US before our container arrives at border. PODS helps facilitate custom paperwork which is handled by their special services PPW unit. After a day of arriving in US, I submitted the required paperwork and waited for their review and approval. I had scheduled the container pick up for transit thinking that they need 72hrs for processing the paperwork. They didn't process and cancelled our pick-up while charging us for the transit ($8000). It has been almost 3 weeks since and we have no clue about the paperwork and our container is still sitting in Canada. The customer care has no idea about the status of our paperwork as their custom handling dept. works separately from them and nobody from this dept. is replying to our emails or updating us on our paperwork. I am in a very bad situation as we have 2 little kids (17month and 5yr) and old parents who are having a very difficult time in living without their bare necessary items. It's 3 weeks and counting and we have no idea when they will approve and then add 2-3 weeks more for transit (includes custom clearance) after approval, whereby we will be charged extra fees after 1 month. I had used a different vendor for our prior US-CA move and literally faced no issue. We tried PODS for the first time and can't explain how much we regret our decision. Would definitely not recommend to anyone for cross border or cross-country move as they would unnecessarily delay things.

Scam of a buisness! Not only did we find a mouse in our PODS unit but they charged us an entire month when we no longer even have the POD and are refusing to refund us any more than 1/3 of our monthly bill... absolutely ridiculous.Customer ID: 166577548Complaint # 1386580
