I didn't want to go through the process of compliance, service, importation and all that and trusted all that to Silk Road Autos and wasn't disappointed. I only met Karim in person when I went to insure the vehicle but had already established a very trusting relationship that was aided by their honesty all along the process. I was recommended by my brother in law who has purchased 3 vehicles from Silk Road Autos over the past 10 or so years. Very nice people indeed.

Over priced. Much cheaper to import through B-Pro out of Calgary. No mark up fees.

Just got my custom order truck and am super happy with it. The description was right on the mark. The service repairs and support unparalleled. I also am grateful for how I was put in charge of the process and had full control of whether I shouldn't or should buy based on details of vehicles karim was sending me. It doesn't get any better than this and I highly recommend these guys. I promised I would leave a review and this would be my first ever left--

Great company and wonderful people. Very impressed with the open and honest communication through-out the process of my custom ordered truck. Over 3 months now and no issues. If you can ever buy a vehicle unseen, these guys should be your only option.

Karim, Karim Karim!!!! what an interesting person you are. Thank you so very much for the wonderful service, extra ordinary honesty and ease at which this process all worked out. You are in Vancouver, I am in Calgary and the truck was in Japan - put these dots together!!! The reason all this worked out is I placed my trust in you and you honored that to the letter. Thank you so very much. You don't just have a super satisfied customer but a fan. Plus, Bubba is adorable!!

Beautiful truck well serviced and properly described custom order. Was very nervous not having seen the truck Before placing a deposit but was pleasantly surprised. Very happy with the truck. The office though was slightly disorganized!!! I would recommend Silk Road Autos to anyone looking for a Jdm vehicle such as delica and hiace as I saw so many on their lot

I had a custom order with Silk Road Autos for a van that I just received. I`m going to give Silk Road Autos a 5 STARS because that is the limit or else I think much higher of their service, honesty and knowledge about JDM cars. My custom ordered van was delivered, serviced, inspected and registered exactly as described.

Got my special order truck and couldn't be happier. Extremely nervous as it was a lot of money going to something I hadn't seen. Karim at Silk Road Autos restored my trust in human decency again!!! Much better condition than it was described and boy these guys are amazing. Lets give it up for extreme honesty!

Recently purchased a Toyota Hiace unseen from this dealer as I wasn't allowed to cross the border. I got exactly what was described except from a small scratch at the bottom left corner which may have recently happened as it was fresh. The whole process was very efficient and I found them to be extremely honest. I found them to be slightly disorganized but it is absolutely nothing to complain considering they are so very honest and accommodating. I would highly recommend their services.

I am a proud owner of 1996 Hiace Camper Van (1KZ Turbo Diesel Cruising Cabin with a high top). I successfully purchased it from Silk Road Autos and still own it and use it as a daily driver; however, I had a less than ideal experience -- with many unexpected issues, costs, and headaches -- so it feels important to share that experience here. Here's the sequence of events:A 96 KZH138 Hiace camper van was for sale through Silk Road Autos. I was not able to inspect it because I live in the US and the border to Canada was closed at the time because of the pandemic. So Karim, the owner of Silk Road Autos, brought it to an independent auto shop that I found for a pre-purchase inspection of the vehicle on my behalf. At that inspection the mechanic found a couple things that needed addressing, and he noticed that transmission pan had been dropped at some point, and the fuel filter was leaking, but it was more or less the vehicle that Silk Road Autos was advertising. So I went through the long process of me getting ready to buy it. Right before pulling the trigger, I ran my van's VIN through a Carfax equivalent for Japanese cars ([ in order to verify the information I received about the van was accurate and that the auction sheet was real. This was suggested to me by someone who had done business previously with Silk Road Autos.Annddd of course it turned out that the auction sheet, the one was provided by Karim, had been totally altered and photoshopped. It was for sure the same vehicle in both the real auction sheet and the auction sheet I received from Silk Road (same pics, same VIN, same basic info), but significant rust had been photoshopped out of the pictures, a note about the "transmission slipping" had been removed, countless other dings and issues had been removed, notes about heavy corrosion had been removed, the mileage had been reduced by 60,000km (from 190 to 130), and the auction grade had been changed to a "3.5" (good grade) from an "RA"I brought this to Karim's attention. He acknowledged that I clearly had a photoshopped auction sheet. But he claimed that he had no knowledge that he was provided a fraudulent auction sheet and said that he had must had been duped, and that the auction agent and buyer in Japan must have been colluding so that they could make a cheap purchase of an actually crappy vehicle, fix it up, and re-sell it for a profit. For sure someone addressed many (but not all) of these issues by the time I was looking to purchase it. The question of whether those repairs happened in Japan or in Canada at Silk Road Autos will never be known.I decided to move forward with the deal so long Karim made me a strong warranty; specifically, if issues arose that were different than the previously established issues we discussed, then I could get them fixed here in the US, and that he'd cover the cost of those unforeseen repairs. The reason for this is that Silk Road Autos requires vans to come back to their shop if any issues arise under their warranty period and terms, but because the border was closed, we couldn't do this; so he wrote in an exception into the 3 month bumper-to-bumper warranty that I could get repairs done in the US and he'd pay for them upon proof. Additionally, he gave me a longer 9-month warranty should anything happen with the transmission, as both the pre-inspection mechanic said the pan had been dropped and the original auction sheet said the transmission was slipping. The two inspections and the solid warranty overshadowed the fraudulent auction sheet, and I chose to not cut my losses and move forward with it.Upon receipt of the van I came to discover the following: my kitchen sink and pump were broken; tires totally bald and shot; aux battery and wiring faulty; camper fan/vent non functioning; upper control arms, boots, and suspension was totally shot; bad fuel filter install. Not all of this was ID'd in my pre-purchase inspection (which was his bad), but I was told by Karim all these things were good, including the "ca
