Sad and unfortunate. Overall, the terrible customer service. One worst staff so far that my wife experienced was from customer service. She had a bad attitude that she didn't care or didn't want to work. She acted as if she didn't listen to my wife to the point that my wife had to tell the same thing several times. My wife tried to get a gift receipt...and after asking her the same thing several times, the staff looked like she did, but did a refund instead. Also, the staff glared at my wife during the conversation. It is very disgusting the fact that a staff glaring at a customer. I like Wal-Mart for the price and quality, but it is very uncomfortable to visit another time if more staffs' attitudes like that.

My recent shopping experience at Walmart was quite disappointing. While shopping, I picked up some small frozen shrimps that were displayed in open freezers with a prominent sign in red indicating a price of $6.98. I grabbed two bags and proceeded to the self-checkout. However, I ended up waiting for over 10 minutes because more than half of the checkout lanes were closed. When I scanned my items, I was surprised to see that the shrimp rang up at $9.99 instead of the advertised price. I tried to get the attention of the cashier, who was busy helping other customers and managing the line. She called another staff member to check the price, but he was on the phone, and we waited for more than 10 minutes with no resolution. To make matters worse, another male cashier with yellow vest asked my wife to move our groceries to accommodate another customer without even asking why we were waiting. This was both rude and unprofessional. We patiently waited for the staff member to return, and when he finally did, he seemed new and unsure of what to do. He confirmed the price at $9.99, but I am confident he went to the wrong section to check. My suggestion to Walmart would be to invest in proper staff training and ensure that they provide excellent customer service. This would greatly improve the overall shopping experience for customers.

Tried to buy chips today and despite there being an entire fixture of them advertised at sale price, the girl at self checkout refused to mark them down when they didn't ring up at sale price. "Someone must have forgotten to take down the sign" she said. Literally look at the picture I showed her and imagine dying on the hill that the chips are supposed to 50% more expensive, any retail store in their right mind would side with the customer here but Walmart never fails to disappoint. Unreal

Got everything I needed today. A gentleman that worked at the self checkout actively brought my order back to the screen to apply for their credit card. I politely declined and he rolled his eyes at me and put up his hand in disgust. I apologize that I didnt help you reach your credit card sales target for today, but the way you went about it is not good customer service.

I was there yesterday at self checkout which I was forced to use as there was one cashier open with a huge line up for her. Went to self checkout and there were 3 terminals open. All three were being used. I went to the middle one. I had approximately 10 items. While scanning my items i decided I needed a bag. The women working in this area asked me about a smaller planter I had just scanned. I thought she liked it and I told her it was on clearance forgot the price so I scrolled the screen and told her it was 12 dollars. I came back from getting the bag and she told me there was no 12.00 on my order. I didn't understand as she spoke broken English, and asked her what she meant. She then had a hand held device telling me it wasn't on her device the 12.00. I realized she was telling me I did not scan this item. I told her I did and told her I just looked at the price. She said not it's not on here there. I realized she was accusing me of not scanning an item. I was very irritated and scrolled through my screen again and showed her I scanned it. Do you think she apologized or said sorry I made a mistake anything. Nothing walked away. There are only 3 terminals open and she can't manage them or watch over them properly, and think its okay to accuse customers of stealing.

How can brown sugar jump from 1.97 to 3.47 overnight, 57%, then a week later back to 1.97, and now back up to 3.47. Makes no sense, except profits....

Been shopping at the Grandview Walmart since we moved here in 2015. But not after today's experience. I had approximately $250 worth of goods in my cart at the self-checkout, with the self-checkout attendant standing just in front of my checkout, watching me very closely. After scanning several items, the self-checkout attendant starts picking up and replacing several of the items on the scale that I had already scanned, then walks back to where she was standing. After I scanned a few more items, she comes back and loudly states that I didn't scan several of the items on the scale. This is according to the device she is holding which is apparently telling her that I am not scanning products. She picked up a few items and asked what they were and if I had scanned them, then scrolls through the scanned items on the self-checkout register display. ALL the items I had scanned and placed on the scale were there in the list, at no point was there an error on the display that I had put something on the scale that had not been scanned. She then wanted me to re-scan some of the items she says I didn't scan even though we could both see that they were already on the register display. At this point I took all of the items off the scale and put them back in the grocery cart, then left the cart at the checkout. It appears that Walmart does not care one bit about how the attendants treat customers, not does Walmart in and of itself care about customers or their experience at the store. The store can be packed with customers, with long line-ups at the checkouts, including the self-checkouts. Often half or more of the self-checkouts remain closed. Attendants are hawkish and hovering and you get the impression that you're being monitored. In fact, you ARE being monitored not just by the attendants but also the camera at the checkout recording everything you do. Not everyone is a thief, but at Walmart customers are treated as such the moment they enter the store. The impression I had today was that the attendant wanted to intimidate me in order to add items to the bill that I had already scanned, intentionally inflating the final bill. If her device was telling her that I had put an item on the scale without first scanning, why didn't that message come up on the display at the checkout to inform me of the missed item? Today was the third time that this has happened to me at this location. It doesn't add up, but there is something fishy going on here.Think twice before shopping at Walmart. The marginally lower prices compared to another store are not worth it.

Such a horrible experience. I don't usually shop here but I did since I was around the area. The cashiers at self checkout keeps bugging me to get their credit card. I was about to pay for my groceries and I told one lady I don't need the card and another guy came and keeps bugging me about it again. Then the guy just started saying I will save $45 in just 2 minutes, scans his ID and cancel my transactions so I can follow him and keeps saying "Give me your ID. Give me your ID." which is very disrespectful. If customers said no, you should stop insisting it and leave them alone. I ended up getting the card since he already canceled my transaction and just so it will be done and I can leave, and guess what? They only give $20 discount for this transaction and will get the other $25 on your next purchase after you activate the card. Save yourself.

I am a very loyal supporter of Walmart, and over the past 6 years have spent thousands of dollars at this particular branch on weekly groceries. Lately, it has become such an uncomfortable experience to pay for groceries by being harassed by a cashier to open a Walmart MasterCard - even at the self check-out, there is a male employee whispering in my ear, every single week, asking if I want to save $45. If I say no thanks, he continues asking by saying that I can open and then cancel the card again if I don't want it. Please STOP doing this. If I wanted another credit card, I'd get one. If I say no, it's no. PLEASE ask your cashiers to stop harassing customers for this card. I want to pay for my groceries and get out of there without having a conversation about a card I don't want.

They decreased their hours so there's no good quiet time to go anymore. Also not only is there the credit card nag prompt on the self checkout but now they have a guy that comes and bothers you about the credit card in person while you're just trying to pay for your overpriced stuff and go. It's hell in there.Even the parking lot is hard to leave because people don't put their carts away and they have nobody to collect them so there's just stray carts in the middle of the parking lot aisles you have to maneuver your car around.

If your goal is to drive customers out of your store then you have achieved your objective. Very loud distasteful music, broken self checkouts, uncaring and inattentive staff - appears to be the new normal at what used to be my favourite Walmart. Won't be back. Not that anybody cares anymore.

I was just in Walmart with my small 6 pound dog in a concealed Bag. I did not see any clear markings on the front door that I could not have my dog with me so I thought if not they would politely tell me I could not have him in the store and I would fully respect that. As I was paying for my items my dog popped his head up not making any noise 2 Walmart employees mentioned how cute he was asking to pet him while in his bag.The Lady manager looks up from what she was doing asked me if he was a service dog with MAJOR attitude as I replied no. She aggressively told me YOU NEED TO LEAVE. I get it my dog is not allowed in all places. As a manager of a store myself I would never speak to a customer like this. She could have nicely spoke to me and said I am so sorry but we do not allow pets in our store. It’s all in your choice of words and how you speak to customers.Horrible management at the south Surrey location! I felt so uncomfortable! Will not be back!

Been coming here for 10 years and all I’ve seen in that time is the store become a more stressful place to visit in terms of being treated like a shoplifter almost every time, despite being a regular who gets groceries basically by the week. The tech Center is still good as always
