Equitable Bank is a digital-only bank generally regarded as a great bank with top-notch interest rates and a constantly improving customer experience. Many customers use it for their primary banking, direct deposit, and auto-pay needs, finding it easy to open an account and transfer funds. The telephone customer support staff is frequently praised as really good, outstanding, and intelligent with good communication skills, often providing a five-star service experience. However, the bank has some noted shortcomings. Its online chat support and website often have issues, sometimes preventing access to funds. As a digital institution, it does not support cheques and depositing cash is not easy without a linked external account. Some transfers can be complex and time-consuming. Customers also find certain account limits odd, such as a savings account cap of $200K and a low transfer push limit of $30K compared to other virtual banks. Additionally, some rate decisions between accounts have been questioned as not making logical sense. Despite these drawbacks, many consider it the best bank, especially when used alongside a traditional bank with physical locations.

Great bank! They do not support cheque's and depositing cash isn't easy unless you have another bank account to link to EQ Bank. Their interest rates are top notch! I'm okay with a digital only bank as long as I have another bank with physical locations! Best bank in my opinion even with these short comings.

App permanently has issues, or your e-transfer doesn't get through or else. Disappointing

Use it for all my banking/direct deposit and auto pay needs. On the whole a great and constantly improving customer experience and good rates. Some more advanced transfers can be a bit complex/time consuming.
