“Great selection of produce and ethnic foods but prices aren't as good as other options in the area equally accessible by bus or car.For example:Top Ten Produce sells russet potatoes for 1.99/lb, navel oranges for 2.99/lb and a 300g packet of green beans for 4.99.Persia Foods sells the same potatoes for 0.99/lb (sometimes 0.69/lb), navel oranges for 1.99/lb and the same 300g package of green beans is 2.99.Even at a pricier store like Parthenon you can buy russets at 1.19/lb.These are just some prices I have with my recent receipts but from walking through the store, I could save 30% off a basic shopping list if I shopped for the same items at Persia Foods and about 10% at City Avenue Market.”

“Love love love this place. Prices are higher than big regular stores but that's to be expected. Staff are very friendly, and they have anything you'd need in a pinch. One staff member even returned my wallet that I left behind after seeing from my ID that I lived close by. Thanks for being a staple in our neighborhood ☺”

“I've had "Black salt" on my shopping list for a year now. Just found it at Royal Farm Market (apparently new owners for over a year now - embarrassed I only now noticed the new name). Shockingly diverse range of groceries - Indian spices, Chinese sauces, Mexican at great prices. Like shopping more locally vs the big box stores.”

“I recently discovered the nearby grocery store in my new neighbourhood, and I'm positively impressed. This store has everything I need for my daily shopping, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The store is well-organized and clean. It seems they just renovated it. Five stars, without a doubt!”

“Large and spacious, some neat international products.Security makes it uncomfortable to shop though. The gentlemen working self checkout is great. Attentive but never hovering - unlike Loblaws Arbutus”

“A great community grocer! Produce prices are very reasonable and the produce is always high quality. Packaged food prices are very marked up, but that's to be expected at a small, local grocery like this one and the convenience is worth the markup. The staff are all very friendly and always happy to help or just make small talk while checking out.”

“I always buy my fresh produce from here, well organized and at a good price. Deduct one star coz I got 2 times almost gone product (cucumber and carrots old lot I believe)”

“We've been shopping at Kin's market on Denman for many years. The produce is carefully presented and always looks fresh, plus the prices are generally reasonable.Jenny, the manager, is delightful and we consider her to be a valuable community member. The employees are friendly, helpful and provide efficient service. The displays are well organized. I'm extremely impressed with the tidiness of the outdoor area on Comox Street. It would be easy to have it messy with sorting produce and packaging, but they manage that area really well too. It's a great place to shop and we will continue to be loyal clients. Thank you.”

“Popped by on the way home, I haven't been there in a long time. Checked it out for a bit, I heard that they have some mexican foods which they do but not much. Much more east indian foods as the owner & or manager is east indian. I picked up some frozen jalapeno poppers n corn kebabs made by Nanak Foods in Surrey. Looking forward to try them.”

“They revamped their store maybe a year or two ago (perhaps a change in ownership?) and the store is cleaner and more organized than before, although it is missing some specialty drinks and snacks they used to supply.I like to stop by and see what seasonal fruits they have and stock up on Asian grocery staples. Heavy focus on Filipino products with some Chinese influence. I've never had an issue with the cashiers or staff and like that they're open late.”

“Great prices on everyday produce. Our go-to spot for our weekly shopping. Always hussling and bustling inside and being on a busy street, it can loud too. Steps to dozens of restaurants at the same time. Very convenient location blocks from Joyce Skytrain Station.Highly recommended for your food and produce needs.”

“I don't like cherries so I can't speak to their quality or the multiple bad reviews related to them, but I find the quality generally to be very good, the service is also good, friendly and helpful (unlike the other iin the market "sunlight farms", which is terrible!). Prices are a bit high but best on the island usually and even better than the nearby "no frills" sometimes.”
