“We stop by this friendly butcher shop once a month to pick up some farm fresh eggs and some sausages or meat ends from their frozen item freezer because it helps us feed our family. Every so often, they have unbelievable deals in their window display from sandwich meat to sausages or cheese. Whenever they have that sale we always buy as much as we can afford. All of the staff are genuinely kind and assertive. They are the real kinds of Canadians that this country needs more of.”
“I love having a local butcher shop...this place makes the neighborhood feel cozier. The staff here are always friendly and helpful, even while ushering through hundreds of customers a day. The meat is always fresh and great quality, and the prices only go up as their costs go up. The prepared food is delicious too if you want to grab and go. I shop here weekly for our meat, and it is probably the best place to go to grab a ribeye to grill. Drumsticks are usually on sale too, grab a bag and freeze if you can't get through them. Teriyaki steaks are a big hit with the kids, sometimes on sale for $5.”

“We found this place by accident, walking by and saw all the cases of soft drinks. They have a great selection of pop from the US. As someone else mentioned they don't have signs with prices. However the employees were very friendly and scanned the drinks I was interested. Although the drinks are much more expensive than local soft drinks they are about the same price as other specialty shops in the area. One variety was over three times the cost of a regular local Coke. But you are paying for variety.
Having never been here before I don't know if they always have a good variety. For now, being addicted to a couple of flavours,I will be a regular customer. They also had a decent selection of chocolate bars. I didn't pay attention to the meat area but there were many options.”

“We absolutely love Armando’s and it is a must visit destination for my boyfriend and I every time we come to Granville Island. Armando is so warm and welcoming. “They were extra friendly to a dog before and today the dog was shaking because he was so extremely tempted by the smell coming from in here so he got to try the beef heart from here today. It's kind of scary to try but this place seems trustworthy thankfully. The frozen raw food made for dogs seems good too”
“Passing some time in Kerrisdale today and stopped by this place. What a lucky choice! 3pc fried chicken and fries was $12 and it was generous portion. I’d already eaten HALF the fries when I realized a photo with this review would be a good idea. This definitely somewhere we will go back to!”
“Anytime we are celebrating a special event or just treating ourselves to a restaurant quality meal we ALWAYS get our meats from Market Meats. It is not cheap, but that's not their intent. They sell THE BEST QUALITY products and back it with great service. I just cooked 2 beef tenderloins that would be $75 - $95 per plate at a steak house and it cost me $67 total. Add $3 for 2 baked potatoes and some broccoli and a salad and we are very happy here!”
