“I have been sadly remiss in the time it's taken to write this review. On the other hand, it's given the team at Progressive more opportunity to prove worthy of a five star (only five???) rating. My 2010 Tiguan is still ticking like a little bomb thanks to the care and expertise of the techs at this outfit. The office staff are great, particularly Shayla, who never hesitates to say "bring it in" when I send out an SOS.
From the day I booked my VW's first service in (I think) 2019, the team has risen above and beyond expectation in all the best ways, right down to showing supremely admirable tolerance for an owner who adores her vehicle and tends to hover anxiously in the wings while it's in the shop. James, in the service department, had a loaner car ready for us to go when we arrived and kept me informed about everything happening to my vehicle. It was my first experience with them but it’s one I won’t forget. If I lived closer to Victoria, Campus Acura would be my go to dealership.”

“I have been a client of Rand Automotive since I moved to Victoria seven years ago. I so appreciate that this is a family owned business. They work hard at continually improving to keep ahead of the curve on emerging technologies in the industry and in enhancing customer service and satisfaction. I appreciate greatly that they take the time to explain the repairs they are doing on my two vehicles in words I can understand. Five years ago they found an issue in my Mini Cooper that they noticed was on recall from the company and still under warranty. The discovery saved me over 2000.00. I had taken the vehicle to three other repair services prior and not one was able to tell me what was wrong. Since then service has always been superior. I highly recommend the team at Rand.”
“Just had my Civic’s AC fixed with Searles after Honda tried and failed a few times to properly diagnose and fix it. Searles got it straight away and the price was so reasonable. I’d definitely come back here for any maintenance that I need to get done!

“Rob at Midas on Government Street was a great help. I have a 30-year-old Toyota that was making a bit of sound in the exhaust system. I took it to a garage in town, and they charged me $300 to replace the gasket and studs on the front exhaust pipe. Three weeks later, I was on the Malahat Highway and all of a sudden my car sounded like the Beverly Hillbilly's car. Motorbike riders were jealous! And there was a bad smell of exhaust coming in the car. I went to Midas on Government Street and Rob had a look. It turns out that the job that was done 3 weeks earlier had come apart. Rob had to order parts and do the repair over. Now here comes the kicker: I was only charged $72! I was over the moon! This was my best garage experience ever. The quote was $102, but Rob didn't need one of the parts, so it was cheaper!! Midas on Government have a customer for life. It's so nice to be treated so well! Thanks, Rob!”

They were kind, patient, courteous, efficient and professional in their dealings with us.
We respected them for not over promising on their timeline and being honest and making accurate assessments.They helped alleviate some of the stress and frustration that we were experiencing dealing with other aspects of the accident that had occurred with our vehicle.

“Took my car for a tail light / day light issue , they managed to figure out what was wrong very quickly and the cost was much less than what I worried it would be. They did a free assessment of my brakes which I really appreciate , turns out as I suspected they need to be replaced , they gave me a very reasonable quote for this and also told me that I had a bit of time before this became a safety hazard , instead of pressuring me to do it right then. This was my first experience at any mechanic auto body shop in my entire life and I chose it after reading reviews on here. For me it’s very intimidating as I don’t know anything about cars. I will definitely be back here for all my mechanic needs.”

“I recently took delivery of my Macan from Porsche Centre Victoria. Noah is a fabulous sales associate. He's friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. He was also very helpful during this remote purchase, providing live video walk-arounds of the vehicle and a very detailed assessment of the vehicle's condition. Noah gave me the comfort and confidence necessary for this substantial purchase from a distance. When we arrived in Victoria, he picked us up and took us to the dealership, where we were given VIP treatment and enjoyed a ceremonial unveiling of the vehicle! Connor then took us through the vehicle, showing us how to configure and operate every option. Noah and Connor both followed up with us to ensure that all was well after our thoroughly enjoyable drive back home to Calgary. We have already decided that we will be returning to Porsche Centre Victoria for our next vehicle purchase :-)”

“We recently were having issues with a "somewhat new to us" vehicle and we were not familiar with some of the features. The relatively new battery died and we removed it to return it but instead of replacing it they recharged it and told us we were good to go. We put the battery back in but the car would still not start. We had it towed to Langford Parkway Automotive and Transmission. Turns out it was a fairly easy fix and was ready to be picked up the same afternoon. Colin was very kind to explain exactly what had happened and how they were able to fix the problem easily and did not even charge us for their time!!! Needless to say they will now be our go to Auto Shop and although we don't wish to see them often, with 5 cars in the family I'm sure we will be back at some time. Thank you Colin and crew for restoring our faith in car repair shops.”

“My usual auto mechanics shop was too busy to fit me in and I tried this mechanics shop. The owner and staff are friendly enough in the customer service area. They even gave great advice about buying a BCAA membership to get a few free towing to their auto mechanics shop. The BCAA/CAA/AAA membership has other discounts for clothing, restaurants, fast food, hotels, The Source electronics stores, Shell gas stations, etc. That automobile club membership has a lot of usage. Their suggestions impressed me. Where they do lack is in the auto repair jobs speed to completion. They were a little slow compared to some of the other auto mechanics shops. Their work quality is very good.”
