“I always am cheered up when I shop here. Happy to support a local business, I explore their great selection for such a small place, and find things to enjoy. I will go there just for the olives!... The place is clean, well stocked, service is friendly. If prices aren't the cheapest, you get what you pay for. (Besides, I offset that with shopping at thriftstores, and Costco for some things.) A very positive experience for me, anytime.”

“I have an 18 year old homestay student from England visiting for his gap year. He expressed a fondness for sausages (something I rarely eat), so I went - of course - to the Red Barn Market on Oak Bay Avenue. I took a chance on the Octoberfest sausages. Wow - heavy score. My student's face lit up and he said he'd never tasted sausages that good in England! I hope they keep them in stock! The meat department at Red Barn is so helpful and the meat is always of a superior quality. That's why I always take advantage of the Barn Bucks offers!
