    “Our daughter and her fiance moved to Victoria and we, absent mindedly forgot a house warming gift when they arrived. I called around to different places and they could not help us out in such short notice. Then I talked to Cherilee. The issue of this being short notice did not fase her at all. After a short conversation, I put my trust in her to put a basket together. WOW was the our reaction. She did a great job hitting all the points I suggested and then some. She delivered it right on time as she said she would. I will definitely stop by her store when I got to Victoria in the near future.”

    “ZWE is a great little spot with 90% plant based products. They go out of their way to have a full freezer of vegan meat and egg alternatives (although I don’t support YoEgg because BDS and genocide). They no longer have the Plantbase Deli meats because that business closed but there’s vegan gummies, mayo, cookies, crackers, drumsticks, cheesecake, tofu, nugs, brownies, soap and much more. Lots of high quality organic foods. I try to load up on staples once a month. If you cycle they will give you extra points for cycling there and if you drove, they reimburse some of the paid parking cost to encourage shopping in the neighbourhood. On Saturdays and Sundays they often have cookies for patrons. Updated from previous review on 2026-09-15”

    Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.

    Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
