A Volcano Wash (basically, all of the fixings) is $17.99 and you don't have to worry about harsh/unclean brushes scratching up your ride. It's not perfect either, but our black car came out just fine, with bird droppings and excessive wheel dust all removed.The only thing I didn't know (it's me or the machine) is that when going through the dryer at the end, if one backs up a little - I saw 60 seconds left and wanted to dry more of the front of my car - it turns off the dryer immediately. Evidently, I should have kept moving forward :)”
“Had to pull over in a panic as my daughter got very car sick!! The staff were so kind jumping to our assistance with a cup of cold water and a roll of paper towel.
No judgement from the staff here at all!

“Easy in/out for gas, with no problems so far. I've always been able to redeem PC optimum points, along with filling my car and paying at the pump. It's quick and convenient, with zero interaction required. It's fairly clean here too, with garbage cans being mostly empty and a conscience store nearby. This Esso is a good stop if you're within the Esquimalt area, looking for a quick refill on gas and/or redeeming PC optimum points and/or Circle K coupons.”

“I limped in with a flat tire today and needed to change it in the parking lot in the middle of a snow storm. I went inside to see if they sold gloves, the person that had just finished their shift stopped and made sure I was ok and gave me their personal gloves. Words can't express what that gesture meant.”

“I like the renovation. Very clean and coffee from the back bistro is amazing. What I don't like are the girls and guys selling car polish at the front door. If I want car polish, I'll go to Canadian tire. I have to dodge their sales when all I want is gas, which makes me want to go to another gas station. Regular staff are great.”

“Decent 24-hour self-service car wash. There's a sign saying you have to get a code from the cashier, and you can do that, but you can also just tap your card and it'll work. It will authorize up to $15, charge your card $2 initially, then continue charging in small increments (up to $15) until you press the STOP button, so remember to do that before leaving. There is no coin slot. Water pressure isn't quite as high as at the Shell at Six Mile, but the foam from the brush here seems thicker, and the bays are wider, so overall I'd say this place is slightly nicer. Lighting could be better though. Also has hangers on the wall for hosing down your floor mats. Like any normal car wash, there's only so much it can do against serious grime, but for a quick wash, it's as good a spot as any.”

“Decent self-service car wash. Bays are a little narrow and open on top, so if it's raining, you will get wet. The water pressure is good and the lights are nice and bright, although the foam brush is a bit weak. Coin-operated only, but if you don't have change, you can go inside and get some from the cashier. It's just a normal car wash, so it's not going to do a whole lot against really thick grime, but it's as good as any other coin-op wash. As for gas, it's mostly just like every other Shell. No card tap on the pumps, so you do have to use the chip (unless I'm blind and just couldn't find it).Oh, and don't let the spray wax get on your windshield - it will cause a nasty smearing effect when it rains, and you'll have to clean it off again.”

“After a road trip up island on some gravel roads, the car was pretty dirty. I decided to splurge and go through a car wash and chose this one because it was close by. Chose the middle of the road package, but learned that since I wasn't buying gas I'd be paying the deluxe price anyway, so might as well get the full meal deal. I got kind of excited in that nostalgic way...car washes were so exciting as a little kid, you feel? I was not disappointed; maybe I'm easily entertained, but my goodness, it was better than an amusement park ride, complete with psychedelic suds coating the windshield and that trippy feeling like you're moving when you're not. No big fluffy brushes, though. Cause it's Touchless(TM) Drive home feeling like a million bucks. It was only when we pulled up to the house and got out that I realized it had all been a fleeting moment of joy, a ruse, even. The car was still filthy! I'd probably still go back for the experience (it was that fun) but maybe not for just under 15 bucks, and maybe not with an actual dirty car. I feel no regret, only confusion.”

“I found the total experience incredible. There had to be about 15 to 18 guys working there and not one standing around doing nothing. Considering it was towards the end of the day the place was very clean with tools all in their place. I really enjoyed watching the show. And yet one of many things stood out, it seemed to me that safety definitely came first in everything they did. They were not only very friendly to the customer but to each other. Thank-you one and all for running such a place.”
