Honestly disappointed with how Holly and Suzannah handled things—they refused to accept my BC Services Card or my Scotiabank Line of Credit card as valid ID. That said, there were still some very kind and helpful people who stepped up to help me replace my card. Just a heads-up: be patient, and remember we’re all human.
Shoutout to Karim—easily a 10/10 financial advisor. He’s been incredibly helpful in the past, and is always knowledgeable, professional, and understanding when it comes to finances.
Also, shoutout to Waliyat for the great service. Unlike Suzannah, who oddly told me to call the bank while I was at the bank to replace my credit card (which makes no sense), Waliyat actually helped me through the process without any runaround. Much appreciated! 5 mins tops in and out.

Absolutely awful service - especially from the Customer Service Superior - Holly Landsdown. So condescending and rude. I’m almost to the point of pulling all of my money, savings, RESP and RRSP from this bank.

I was at the Uptown branch this morning and stood in line for 10 mins before I finally had to leave. I was the only one in line. I'm a 50 yr customer and not very satisfied with this service.

My wife and I recently obtained a mortgage through Scotiabank, and unfortunately, our experience has been less than satisfactory. While our initial payment went smoothly, we encountered several discrepancies in our account shortly after.We've had ongoing issues with credits and debits that have left us feeling confused and frustrated. Despite assurances from bank representatives that these issues would be resolved promptly, they have persisted without explanation.This lack of clarity has made it challenging for us to manage our finances effectively. We've been left uncertain about the status of our account and the ownership of funds within it.We've reached out to Scotiabank multiple times to address these concerns, but the resolution has been slow and inadequate. As valued customers, we expected better service and accountability.Overall, our experience with Scotiabank's mortgage services has been disappointing. We are currently exploring alternative banking options for the future.

Excellent service and helpful staff - the entire banking world has gone crazy with figuring out a million ways how not to help their own clients but these two front staff were unusally determined to actually provide client service to on site customers. kudos

The mortgage broker I had to meet was the rudest person I have ever met! Our half an hour meeting lasted 5 minutes and I walked out.

Karim-FA, has been exceptionally helpful, professional and knowledgeable.After over two years of frustrations with other financial advisers at this branch due to unreliability, lack of communication or knowledge, Karim addressed my issues and resolved them in one meeting. The last time I updated my address, it was not reflected on my account statement. The person at the counter informed me that merely updating the address on the website does not automatically update it on account statements. Despite changing my address in September 2022, the update did not appear on my statement until September 2023. Consequently, I had to visit the branch to address this issue. I requested the teller to manually update my statements with the correct address, but he refused multiple times. This was despite it being Scotia Bank's fault for not updating my address as per my earlier instructions. The teller's demeanor was unfriendly throughout the interaction. When I inquired about reaching out to management, he hesitated and attempted to avoid connecting me to them.

Don’t expect them to get anything done they’ve blocked me out of my online banking for 7 months now and won’t do anything to get me back on it. The whole company is a joke
