“I wanted to stop supporting Walmart and other massive food corporations so decided to shop local and come here instead. Wow! The prices are comparable to other stores and shopping here is actually enjoyable and it feels good to walk their aisles. Definitely recommend supporting this store rather than the industrial/globalized food giants to keep the money in our communities. Shopping local gives me a sense of agency to change our food system so it feels good to support a local business ☺️”

“We live in Westbank, across Okanagan Lake from the Safeway Pharmacy in Kelowna.
We have been using the services of Safeway’s downtown Kelowna Pharmacy since moving to the area in 2010.
Yes, there are many pharmacies on our side of the lake, but the downtown Safeway Pharmacy has served us well. The staff goes out of their way to do all they can to take care of our needs.
Today, for example, I had a new prescription that needed to be filled. Just after leaving my doctor’s office, I called Safeway and asked if they have received the fax from my doctor. The pharmacist checked and the prescription request was there. She checked to see if the medication was on site and said that she would processes the request. It would be available in 30 minutes. As I was in the neighborhood this would save me a trip across the lake.
This is the type of service we have consistently received for the downtown Kelowna Safeway Pharmacy.

“a very pleasant store and also a kelowna landmark really & the customer service is top notch i think they should bring the other locations back personally and also the security guards manning the store are helpful and the cashiers don't rush you to pack everything fast, I handicap so its difficult to meet other stores fast paced and sometimes ride cashiers but safeway just has top notch customer service a real tribute to have such a fantastic market right downtown and they even have a bathroom for customers to use which is pretty ok with how things are generally in the world today, I often go for lunch at their Travellers snack bar where they make really good ambrosia salad and wings and chicken fingers and potato wedges and subs and stuff I think everyone should check out and pretty fair prices the one thing is I need to chat with the manager about bringing in more organic and non GMO foods but thanks safeway team for giving me a chance to review you .....”
