“I've been taking care of my Father who is on hospice and I can't leave the house. I was making a sandwich and cut my finger when slicing a tomatoe. I was able to quickly run in this Dollar tree and pick up some bandaids and a cold drink and candy bar for under $4 bucks and only be gone 10 minutes! Great location!”

“LOVEEEE THIS 99 CENT STORE (&UP)! HAS SO MANY SELECTIONS OF FOODS, INCLUDING FRESH FOOD FROM VEGETABLES TO FRUITS AND ALOT MORE. EVEN HAVE WELL KNOWN BRANDS LIKE DOVE SHAMPOO TO THE COCACOLA SODA! DEFENITIELY A MUST GO TO FOR ALL AROUND NECESSITIES THEY HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED THERE. STAFF IS ALSO GREAT, HELPFUL AND VERY FRIENDLY! THIS IS MY FAV. “So I go to this dollar tree with my friends all the time. Some background context is that I just moved here last year so i'm pretty new. Im used to a big open dollar tree because where I used to live it was super big, but this dollar tree was not big and spacious. Me and my friends say this a lot "this dollar tree is MUCH smaller than your average dollar tree." Which is a bit disappointing. Another thing to add is that their customer service is not the best, it is a bit hard to find the clerks because they are either at the back of the store where I can't go or they are hiding somewhere. Ugggg. I give them a 4 because they have wonderful holiday decor, and I love holidays!”

“Needed party supplies for New Year's, so stopped into this Dollar Tree last week (one time event decorations that will be thrown away quickly anyway are kind of the perfect items to buy from a dollar store). The store was pretty clean (and I mean that both for a dollar store and just as a regular store) and organized. Not only was it easy to find decorations for my New Year's Eve party but ended up buying other things too. While browsing the store I found some nice Bed Bath and Beyond plates and quickly snatched them up. I was surprised they had some BBnB stuff (maybe Dollar Tree bought some of their supplies as they went out of business?). I do agree with another review though though with the lack of hand baskets/small shopping carts that you can carry is really annoying (every store has hand baskets so not sure why this place doesn't). When checking out my items, the cashier was friendly and rang up my items promptly and accurately. I'm so glad this Dollar Tree is still in business. I used to go to the Downtown location often, but since it closed down, I go to this one now only once or twice a year (mainly for party supplies). This is pretty much the last good dollar store in Berkeley, so save some money and get some of your supplies here while it's still around.”

“If you wanna get the good stuff, you have to go right after they stock just ask one of the customer service rep or a cashier and they’ll let you know the days that they stock they tend to carry good products at the dollar tree at every single dollar tree put there are some better Than others but I love how the dollar tree has a lots of great value things for $1.25”

“I was shopping around. The cashier was helping someone out. She was so friendly. She came over to me and told me how much she loved my dress. Made my year! Than the line was long. She didn't hesitate to jump in ring people up. Including me! She was super fast! We exchanged a lot of small talk which was so warm. I really needed her and she had me! I will be coming back again and again. I live in Oakland but her warmth will have me travel! Thank you.”

“Maria name on receipt 9/8/23. She was so Lovely. She had the warmest smile and sweetest soul ever. She rang me up we did a lot of small talk. It was just so nice to finishing up my busy day. I got everything accomplished besides. Taking my bike to 81st library. The fix your bike Fridays 3-5pm. So next Friday my bike will be assembled. 2 years later lol. Anywho back to the dollar tree. I found everything I needed and then some lol. The store was very clean. The bathroom was extremely clean and smelled fresh. Thanks Maria at Dollar Tree with the warmest smile ever.”
“Typical dollar store in a lower crime community. Parking lot is small and shared with other businesses, but relatively safe from thieves. Panhandlers don't often come here. Store is smaller that Oakland location but cleaner.”
