This Dollar Tree is widely regarded as one of the best in the area and the last good dollar store in Berkeley. It serves a large group of people from nearby cities, making it a busy location. The store is consistently described as very clean and organized, even exceptionally so for a dollar store. It offers a fantastic and very good selection with a wide variety of stuff, though sometimes the shelves can be bare due to high demand. The staff receives overwhelming praise, being called nice, welcoming, kind, and amazingly friendly. Employees are noted for being helpful and dressed nicely, providing great service with a smile. The checkout process is prompt and accurate. Customers appreciate the big parking lot. However, some note the annoying lack of hand baskets or small shopping carts. While some company-wide issues are acknowledged, this particular location is viewed as a pleasant shopping experience where customers can save money on items like party supplies. It comes highly recommended.
Didn't get what I was looking for but there is a nice selection of candy.

A mixed bag. I have been here when it's been understaffed and messy. My last visit - the store was clean, wel stocked, checkout was fast. Staff were nice. I hope the new turn around is here to stay, I am going back
