This branch is a gem. Location is great and the service is excellent. I cannot say the same for other sites or for overall Citibank service. But if you need actual service. This particular branch is great.

Citibank has the MOST horrible phone service in human history. Why I bank with them is beyond me.

I made my first visit to Citibank on Solano and dealt with Kevin C. Ortiz. He was very friendly and helpful. He helped me with a cashier check, clarified CDs for me, helped me with the details of a wire transfer, and other things. Thanks very much Kevin!

The few times I've visited this branch were mostly to access my safe deposit box or because I was trying to find specific tender, such as $1 coins, $2 bills, etc. Each time, I've been greeted by multiple employees. They have been helpful and friendly, going as far as calling other branches to help locate specific items! They have hand sanitizer available and practice social distancing, and there are 2 ATM machines located just inside the front door.

I just had a deposit of some checks, so went to Albany Citibank ATM - BOTH machines were out at the same time. Went inside, one teller had an interminable transaction, the branch manager(?) at the desk was chatting. I waited a while. He gets off the phone, I say, "I just want to deposit some checks." He says, "oh, it won't be very long." Strolls into the back, I think OK then he will take my deposit, but NO, he tells the teller, "I am going to take a break." Back to the bad old days of depending on lackadaisical bankers going on break and chatting, NO service! I left. I hope the REAL manager takes a look at what is happening at the Solano Avenue branch and kick some gears. Pathetic! Doesn't the service industry know that the Pandemic is over and it is time to pretend to care about the customers? Especially when they are TRYING to give you money?

I really hate Citibank. Citibank froze my business account after I filed a change of address to a PO Box even though they also had my home residential address on file for years. They should not have frozen my account, but they never acknowledged that this was their mistake. When I spoke to customer service two times to process the change of address they never told me that using a PO Box would be a problem. They processed the change of address without ever warning me that they would freeze me out of access to my money. Nobody from Citi ever called me or sent me an email to tell me they were freezing me out of access to my money. Citi continued accepting deposits! When I logged into the online account there were no notices of a freeze on my account, nor were there any warnings anywhere in the online account. None of the correspondence from Citi has the name, phone number or email of any person because nobody takes any personal responsibility. Citibank damaged the reputation of my business by refusing to honor checks when there was plenty of money in the account. Citibank does not care about customers, they only want your money. Customer service is their lowest priority.

It's a good Citibank branch. The ATM machines are inside the building. The bank tellers are friendly.

Conveniently located, but unfortunately incredibly slow and understaffed. I have been waiting for over 40 minutes now...

Ok, I am horrible with computers and so glad I found how to do this. thing known as Yelp. I deeply appreciate how the two Citi branches I have dealt with so far have treated me. Both the branch on Shattuck near Berkeley and the one at El Cerito Plaza have treated like one would expect of rural community bank. They treated me as a human being and not as a number. The one problem with the Shattuck Branch is its lack of parking which in a city like Berkeley is out of their control. El Cerito Plazza has good parking and great people. I am a rural country person so deeply appreciate the personal touch. I come from a place where people bring baked items for their friends at work to enjoy. I enjoy this community a great deal. They all know me by name and provide a friendly greeting each time I enter. I hate having to use my last name all the time and for being lost in a crowd. Everyone is important in my mind and I find this sense of community/Family at This Citi Branch. I felt the same at the Shattuck Branch as well, but ate the city parking. City not Citi in this case. I miss the rural hospitality and found it here. Hey do not trust me check them out and you will see, as I have, they treat everyone in such a manner. I have always found their willingness to help awesome. It is nice to be able to talk Basketball while being served at the same time... RIght Eddie! THEY ALL are AWESOME in my Book. From the Administrators to each specific teller. I would most definitely recommend this branch. THANKS for making me feel right at home "guys"...it is awesome.
