“Spent the entire day there last Saturday for a regional Catan tournament...Really nice facility, lots and lots of games, and most importantly a staff that was very kind and welcoming. “I often pop in here to get second hand clothes or shoes for my kids. Recently it was my son's 4th birthday and we were all home sick. He had been asking everyday for over a month if his birthday was tomorrow and if he could please have a spider stuffie. He was so sad to miss his birthday at school and I had had no time to buy him a present because we had back ti back illnesses for a month. I called Kelly's corner, they had one and asked if I could pay over the phone and have her toss it out the door to me so as not to infect anyone .she was so sweet and offered to drive the gift to my house (we lived nearby)after work. She even wrapped it in a gift bag and added a few trinkets. It made his day and meant so much to me. Thank you!”
“I pick up a new kit every time I walk in here! Always something new, his stock is always rotating. I don't think I've seen the same kit on his shelves twice. Everything from entry grade to perfect grade unleashed, and reasonable prices (especially with the additional 25% off). Not just Gunpla, but also kits from Evangelion, One Piece, DBZ, Star Wars, and others. Keep in mind, it is primarily a Gunpla store if you're looking for anything else. The staff also has given me great advice on my builds, as well!”

“The second my partner and I saw how unassuming this shop is we knew we were in for something good. The collection in here is amazing, and the owner is very nice. You can tell there is a lot of love for collecting and anime/geek culture in here. Really wide selection spanning tons of different anime, manga, comics, games, across many decades. Japanese moomin merch (or ANY moomin merch, for that matter) is really hard to come by in the u.s., and we were able to get a cute moomin plushie from Japan, one that neither my partner and I have ever seen before despite being moomin fans for 5+ years. Even if we hadn't gotten the plushie I was honestly happy knowing that the owner at least knew what moomin was. I'll definitely be stopping by in the future next time I'm in Oakland/Emeryville.”

“This place is wonderful!! It’s my go to for a great present for a baby. I love that they have both new and used stuff, and the sale rack is legit. The people who work there are kind and helpful. It’s so cool that you can sell your high quality baby clothes if you don’t have anyone on the hand me down train. Highly recommended!!”

“The Exploratorium Store is the place to get all kinds of generic science-related gifts. Mainly stuff for kids, and some of their inventory you can likely find elsewhere online. A lot of the products are only vaguely related to the Exploratorium and what is displayed in it, there wasn't much Exploratorium branded merch or memorabilia outside of a few shirts and buttons. Would love to see more, honestly. The prices can be high, I remember seeing a pin that was not much bigger than a thumbtack going for $13, but it's an expensive museum so it makes sense that their gift shop is also expensive. Other than that, it's fine quality. My little brother really liked the knee-doh ball he got here. Overall, 4/5.”

“Wasn't sure what to make of this shop when I first moved into the neighborhood, but two years later I don't know what I'd do without it! They have a very well-curated selection of cards, way better than you'd find in a drug store or supermarket. They also have a constantly rotating collection of random giftable items that have helped me out in a pinch on several occasions. Prices might be a bit higher than some other places, but good taste doesn't come cheap!”
