I have been going to EL MAMBI, they have salted pig tail, and butter beans and a lot of Goya's products, no-gas green bananas and other central Americans food. I wish they had salted mackerel. I am going to check to see if they have salted beef. They do have baccalo but not very good quality. I love their sweet potatoes, Ñame root . Thank the Lord that they are still operating in Glendale since this is the last Central American/ Caribbean market left in Glendale CA. ****Someone mentioned below that you should check your receipt before leaving and make certain that they do not overcharge you. I noticed they did that to me before seeing this warning and it was a lot about $15 overcharging me and now I truly believe that they did it on purpose, one of the female cashed me out and I noticed it was too high. She make me feel as if she did not clear the register from the last customer. But now I look back and realize by her response she knew what she did. *** Be careful when the females are cashing you out. It is just a shame to steal from your customers!!”

“What a cute little shop of great eats, snacks, and sundry! Funny, it was my 1st time encountering the word "sundry". I had to look it up and get its meaning... sundry means "many things of different kinds". Makes sense as I see a variety of miscellaneous items in the shop such as ramen noodles, over the counter medicines, greeting cards, etc.Tower Snacks & Sundry is located at the bottom floor of the Pasadena Towers. It was recommended to me by my coworker who is a regular customer. Thank you my friend! The owner is a very nice and kind lady. She runs the shop on her own. Whenever I am here with other customers, she keeps up with the pace of service quite well. Thank you!I come to find out that the warm and beautiful layout and display of the menu was the wonderful work of my friend who happens to be the same person who recommended this great place. He is very kind and giving of his time and efforts in making a difference. Thank you my friend for making it easy for us to order! I know the owner appreciates your generosity of your time and efforts and wonderful creative art. I know I do.Let's talk about the great eats... you can get breakfast sandwiches or burritos (my favorite has potatoes in it and ask for salsa to be added without an additional charge... thanks to my friend for his good tip), bagels, oatmeal, french toast (this one is yummy!), etc. Lunch offers salads such as Chicken Caesar, Chef, or Oriental, sandwiches like roast beef, pastrami, club with turkey and bacon (my favorite... so big and tasty!), ham egg & cheese (love it!), tuna melt (surprisingly very good!), grilled chicken wrap (my least preferred item, but you may like it), and more. As for beverages, there are coffee, tea, and smoothies. I love the Three Berry smoothie! I get it every time. I usually get the smaller size. They do have the larger size... just ask for it. The Strawberry & Banana and Mango smoothies could be better... they need more fruit flavors in them IMHO. You can still try them... they may suit your taste buds better.I have become a regular customer since Day 1. I have tried almost all the breastfast and lunch items. There are a few items I have yet to try... I will eventually get to them... you know I will LOL. Everything I have tried have been delicious and tasty. Portions are good. Although I wish the breakfast sandwich could be bigger. Credit card service charge of $0.75 will apply if you spend under $10.00. Cash is best unless you're spending more than $10.00 like myself. There are tables and chairs outside for dining.I love supporting local businesses so I will continue to support Tower Snacks & Sundry when I'm in the Pasadena area. “Hi , i have driven by alot , in last few years , but never stopped by , til i finally did on wedsnesday. I wanted some pork chops. They have great prices !!! Will definitely be going back. I did have a little incident ( but come to find out ) i was wrong !!! So went today to apoligize to the worker at the register. Ps. it was reg. an item i thought i was charged for , but wasn't in the bag. Anyway , ended up being the same price as the Guatamalen coffee i had bought , both were 8.00 !!! So i got confused , when i saw that , becuz it does not spell out , certain items on the receipt. But i went to apologize to her and gave her little giftcard i had ( 2 ) :) when she first saw me again , i knew she was annoyed thinking i was there to complain , but i told her , no , wanted to apoligize in person. :) Also this bakery is directly across the street , has lots of mexican pastries , cookies , conchas , few sandwiches and Cafe de Olla too”

“If you're tired of fast, expensive food, then Super A foods is a great option. All the way in the back they have a cooked food area. That let me tell you is like home cook meals. Anything from fajitas, soups, stuffed bell peppers, chilaquilles, and oh man the size of their burritos or their stacked tortas. They also have certain foods that you can buy by the pound or half a pound like; potatoe wedges, cow ribs, barbecue ribs, chicken wings both spicy and barbecue, chicken strips. All kinds of different types of cheese, and if you're lucky to have the short pale skin lady that is that cracks the chicharrones, then get ready to have seconds because, she is not shy at the time of serving the portions. So to to me is well worth it eventhough it might not be a lot of difference in the amount you pay there's a huge difference in nutrition, quality(this lady cooks like she knows you, C'est magnific!!) as well of quantity(you can feed two or have some now and save some for later). Plus the place is clean, and fresh.”
