Hotel Niles is a charming, historic hotel that offers a unique and memorable experience for its guests. Despite its age, the hotel is well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The rooms, including the spacious Wedding Suite and the cozy hostel, are quiet and provide basic but important features like free Wi-Fi. Guests often appreciate the thoughtful service, such as room selection to minimize noise and friendly staff who offer coffee and pastries in the morning. The hotel has a nostalgic, old-time atmosphere with beautiful photos and a sense of stepping back in time, complemented by modern comforts like comfortable beds. Overall, Hotel Niles provides a cozy, historic stay with friendly service, good value, and convenient amenities, making it a recommended stop for travelers passing through Alturas.
This place is definitely haunted I would stay there again but not on a rainy or stormy night lake last time. I'm pretty sure there's ghost here but I'm not a ghost expert! A wonderful coffee shop on the main floor and this really cool piano bar.

Historic hotel with plenty of personality. Convenient having a bar, restaurant and coffee shop all in the same building.
