This is a really interesting park that has great trails. You don't think marsh when you think the bay area, but it's an interesting change from the forests, beaches, and desert areas around. The salt pools are pink from the microbes in the water and they are super cool looking. You can almost imagine you're on an alien planet. The trails are almost all dog friendly as long as you have your dog leashed.

The Park has stunning views during sunset. The trails are flat and easy. Some of the areas were closed. There are free parking at site, but the parking lot is relatively small. You can bike on the trails and are wheel chair friendly.

This place looks like an alien land, the reddish colors of the salt ponds and surroundings render it an ethereal feel. You can walk along the shore of the ponds or the trail right next to it. Both afford a very pleasant walk. There is a restroom at the parking lot.

If you're looking for a spot to pop into for some quick sightseeing that is equal parts beautiful and otherworldly, then Alviso Marina County Park is perfect as you.Hopefully you can catch it when the water is pink like we did!My family and I recently visited the Bay Area, and coworker Dan L -- a South Bay extraordinaire if I ever saw one -- recommended this park as something different to see.And wow, was he right. The salt ponds at the park turn a dark pinkish color in the late summer and early fall when microorganisms in the water thrive in saltier, warmer conditions. And in the distance white bits of encrusted salt mounds jut out of the water, like mini icebergs. It felt alien but also accessible at the same time. We were able to park close and walk along the board walks to the beach. This is a great spot for photos -- by the beautiful, out-of-this-world bay as well as through the door ways that dot the walkways. Thanks, Dan, for such a great recommendation!

Beautiful park. Great for walking, biking, birding, boating and just enjoying the beauty and tranquility of the bay. Besides numerous species of birds, Harbor Seals are often seen here as well.Restrooms: Well keo bathrooms, typically pretty clean.Flushing toilets and running water.Picnic area: Several picnic tables near the bathrooms but they are situated close together and there is no shade.

Beautiful best place to watch sunset! You can also launch small boats here. The trail can be dusty when dry and gets muddy after rain.Edit: Went stand up paddle boarding at the boat launch at low tide, saw lots of bird families. Current was steady at moving us towards the bay. Good for intermediate paddlers.

We had a great time at the Salt ponds. My son was happy to see and touch the salt. It's also a nice place for a relaxed walk.

Went to Alviso Marina County Park to refresh my mind from the daily hectic life. I reached there almost during the sunset. I got only 25 mins to roam around before closing. So I just walked around the big parking lot where I parked the car, watched the sunset and came back. Though it was only a brief time, it definitely recharged my mind.

One of the best places to see the sunset over the bay ? slightly low on parking on busy days, but can park on the street. Lots of people come here for bird watching on mornings. Off late the water is reddish pink and a lot more crowded than it used to be.

One of the unique placeS to visit in the Peninsula. You will like the walk along the salt bed. The unique salt crystals glitter when hit by the morning sun rays. The sunset time is also great to see the beauty. It's easy to find using Google map.

The views are pretty! The colours look amazing at sunset. You can spend an easy 25 to 30 min here. Just that there’s nothing more to do here other than seeing the views.

It was beautiful ? the weather was perfect for being the 1st day of October when I went. Parking was not the greatest but you can park right outside the park's parking lot on to street parking. It's a nice little walk with a rare pink lake view Restrooms: Rest rooms are by the parking entrance.

Seems almost like a beach at first but it's actually a salt pond. When you do come here, watch your step coz the slope to get down to the beach area can be a bit slippery.Overall, a beautiful place for a photo op :)
