Customer service was above and beyond.
Showed me the car to rent if it met my expectations before doing the rental agreement. They answered all our questions about the vehicle and agreement.

Location is low on employees. One guy had to do everything! He was still nice, but you could see, it's too much. So bring time.
Why 0 points?
The big problem here is that the location is closed outside of business hours. No drop-off box. The gate is closed. I couldn't even imagine that in 2025, there are no options for customers to drop off the car whenever they want.
Saturday open until 12 pm? Sundays closed?
Not suitable. Customer unfriendly.
Why would I rent from this location when there is 0 flexibility.

They say you have 29 minutes to return your car before they charge more, but they locked their doors at 12 exactly and i arrived a few minutes late, why have an option to drop off your car at 12 if you lock your doors immediately?

The guy at San Francisco Fishermans Wharf rental couldn't have been more helpful when it came to sorting out Android Auto connection. Ended up swapping the vehicle, no problem at all. Also advised about tolls in and around California. Top man.

Tried to give me a half charged car. Couldn't charge it because their chargers were cut. Took 40 minutes to return the car the next day. They are short on employees.

Unfortunately, had a very poor user experience at this location.
Went to pick up a car earlier this week that I had previously booked and pre-paid for. Upon arrival, their system did not show the booking was pre-paid and wanted to charge me a second time.
Even after the showing my reservation being pre-paid and showing that the charges had gone through on my credit card, the Manager insisted to still charge and then take it up with my credit card company.
After not agreeing to this, they called Hertz Customer Service who confirmed that the reservation was pre-paid and then hung up before the reservation could be completed.
We then phoned the Hertz Customer Service line a second time and were put on hold for almost 30 minutes.
Finally, close to an hour after my arrival they were able to give me the car.
The Representative at the desk was helpful, understanding and seemed to be as frustrated by the process as me.
Probably not this facilities fault as much as just poor customer service from Hertz on a whole.

I would give this place a 0 star if Google provides an option. They are badly understaffed and there is one staff handling Everything. Everyone else picking up or dropping off the car had to wait for at least 45 mins.
