Calaveras Humane Society is a wonderful and amazing place that does a great job finding homes for animals. The facility is bright, clean, and friendly. The staff is amazing, loving, and friendly, which is an absolute must for this kind of work. They accept owner-surrendered pets and love getting transfers from overcrowded shelters. The organization offers many programs at no cost, including a Pet Food Bank that provides food once a month, spay/neuter discount vouchers, free adoptions to veterans, and a Feral Feline Program. People love donating there, feeling good knowing donations are used for animals in need. It is a place of pure fulfillment and a great experience for adoption.
Wonderful agency that needs support. Check with them first when seeking a pet because they take care of everything a pet needs. Vaccines, spay neuter, medical exam etc. Is included in the adoption fees. The volunteers and staff are so very kind as well as skilled and knowledgeable. I'll support them always.
