Caroline's is a favorite thrift store in the Santa Cruz vicinity, described as super cool and cute. It is more boutique-like than a typical shop, with incredible, high-end merchandise and excellent displays. The selection includes everything from collectible China and crystal to unique costume jewelry, higher-end jewelry, a good variety of women's and some men's clothes, housewares, and decorations. There is a cutely displayed vintage cup and saucer section, with sets wrapped with ribbon making nice gifts. Shoppers have found gems, like a genuine silk shirt for a great price. The volunteers are the best—attentive, helpful, super friendly, and always doing a good job. The whole project is wonderful for the community. While some items like sewn fabric bags can be pricey and parking in the shared lot is not easy, shoppers love that all funds and proceeds go to help needy kids and other causes, having donated millions. This encourages people to drop in, browse the two shops situated next to each other, and feel good about supporting such a worthwhile community effort.
Love that is a nonprofit organization.(I am spending money but it goes to help our community!) I go in regularly and find so many lovely items! If I get too overwhelmed I get a coffee/tea at one of the shops next door! Really block off a lot of time to browse! I would call it a Boutique Thrift shop!

So many fun items to look through and extremely nice staff - I found some nice vests from Eddie Bauer and REI so I will definitely return!
