“One of a kind thrift and antique store. Large selection of everything your heart desires. Super friendly and fun staff/volunteers. Good to Fair prices. Clean and has dressing room. Unique items and fun place to roam in! Proceeds go to local charities. Family friendly with fascinating customers to mingle with...I could spend hours here.
And coffee right next door with outside seating!”
“Cute store. First time here. Has a variety of thrift finds. New and used. We did not find anything today but will stop by next time we are in the area.
Staff is friendly and the parking is scarce on the street. Parking across the street or near hardware store”
“This store is amazing. The gentleman that owned and ran it with his sister, had passed away unexpectedly. Carl was a wonderful, kind and friendly man. He helped anyone he could and he always had a smile with awesome music playing in the store.
I am going to miss him more than words can express. But I am happy I can go to the store and remember the good times”
“Wonderful place, staff, and volunteers. A few years ago I found two dogs running on the side of Highway 17 and pulled over to try to rescue them from getting hit. I had never been to the shelter before, but google maps brought me there and the staff was wonderful and helping them get reunited with their family.”
“My first time going, and certainly not my last! I had such a fun time going through all of the different booths, I spent about an hour looking at everything and probably could’ve stayed longer since the store is huge. I thought most of the items were decently priced as well. The employees were very sweet and friendly. I can’t wait to go back!”
“Always my favorite place to go when I’m in Santa Cruz! So much more than a thrift shop. It’s an experience! Save yourself the time of going anywhere else annd just go!”
“Always find something worth buying at this location. Staff is great at keeping the aisles clean and fully stocked. Great selection of dvd’s and clothing. The price of clothing has gone up in price at all the locations, Sometimes I buy new at Kohls.”
“It's a great place to drop off unwanted furniture, clothes, electronics, and doodads. The brown bag deliveries they have once a week is a great service to the community and the volunteers are great to work with!”
“Excellent, very comfortable price, this is what you pay here for great products, there is everything you need for your home or your workshop, come and enjoy shopping.”
“Thank you so much for doing all that you guys did for me & taylor. Most kind hearted people you will meet. Trying their hardest to make things work even with the most difficult of people they meet day in and day out. <3 god bless you.”
“Everyone is so friendly. The manager, staff, everyone. I love the music playing. It's wonderful here. Great prices. Heather, one of the managers, she's so sweet! So professional. Thank you!!”
“One star off for no dressing rooms and bec parking is hit or miss. However imo, the selection is amazing regarding women's clothing. In the last year, I gained 70 lb after eating disorder treatment so shopping for 1X clothing has been really difficult, I've tried a lot of stores, and this is the first one I have found multiple items at that flatter my new larger body; they had probably 70 or 80 pieces in my size, and each one a different style, so I could find ones right for me! I just wore a basic tank top into the store and I tried their items on over that, so no dressing rooms needed. I know these types of stores can be hit or miss and maybe I just got it on a good day, but they have lots and lots of women's tops, which is just what I was looking for!”
“I went on an Sunday and they were still taking items in the back of the building. So you're ok on Sunday to drop off. The parking for drop off was well planned and worked. No line-ups of cars. I stopped in to see what they had for #ghostpainting trend and all the good pics were taken. But I did find an item sold at Bloomindales and Neiman's that was priced to resell which is what I plan on doing. There is an excellent person who stocks the display shelves at the end of the aisles and that made it fun to check out the color-related items there. The wood decoratives were the best I have seen. All of these wood items can be re-designed for resell or re-enjoyment. There is enough there to get yourself a "channel", record the crafting and help others with ideas on how to repurpose the plain wood decoratives. May decoupage of the 70's be updated and come back! Heck. I may even do that! Bring back the tole flowers only updated for our new likings. So much to do with that aisle! There was no discount going on that day. I did not check out the clothes but there are plenty of aisles and notable were the hats in the store. I could see some of them well-made brands. Keep your eye open for quality hats there. Like to say thanks and you're welcome.”
“Goodwill Central Coast, our local thrift store, isn't just a place to find affordable items; it's a haven of stories waiting to be discovered. Walking through its doors, I couldn't help but feel the anticipation of unearthing hidden treasures and uncovering the narratives behind each item. What makes Goodwill Central Coast unique is its diverse range of items, from vintage clothing and furniture to books and electronics. The thrill lies in the hunt, as you never know what gem you might stumble upon. But beyond the bargains, it's the knowledge that every purchase supports Goodwill's mission to empower individuals in our community through job training and employment services. It's a store with a heart, where shopping is not just about acquiring possessions but also about making a positive impact. In essence, Goodwill Central Coast is a place where thrift meets purpose. It's a reminder that our community's stories intertwine, and by shopping here, we become part of a larger narrative of compassion and support.”
