“Duplicated key here. $0.88 per key. I have to go back the 2nd time since the first one was made by an elderly worker which didn’t work. I couldn’t turn my lock at all. I went back to the store to let them know. They were good about it sent me back to the key service department. This time was a younger worker who made the key for me and no charge. I went home and tried it, it just worked. Thanks, although I have to go back twice.”
“Great store. Obviously the exterior is really cute and old timey, but the inside is great too. Reminds me of local hardware stores I'd go to with my dad as a kid. The vibe and smell is nostalgic. I was looking for a kind of specific little hardware piece- I brought one for example and the attendant walked me over, and helped me find it. He was diligent and patient, and taught me what the actual thing was called. (A hitch pin, if you're curious) I was able to buy just a handful just as many as I needed, and was on my way. I honestly would love another reason to visit but I'm just glad this place exists”

“I recently purchased a home that has a Calimet double swing gate that was installed by the previous owner 3-4 years ago. Unfortunately, the previous owners left me with no instructions on how to operate the gate and they did not leave enough remote controls for me. I was happy to find the Calimet website with some instructions and videos. I did have to contact the company to get some answers to additional questions that I had. I spoke to Andy at Calimet several times and he was always very helpful. He taught me a few things about my gate and helped me program a few more remotes. Now that I know how to operate everything, I’m happy to report that everything has been working flawlessly. I’d recommend this company for gate openers based on their customer service support and quality of the product.”

“This is a throwback to the old fashioned Hardware Store from years ago, before the big box stores (Home Depot, etc) showed up. Fifty years ago, there ware half a dozen of them in the local area, now just two that I know of... I stopped in here recently for a special item.Noticed first that they have EVERYTHING .. the store is packed with every kind of item. Next, there was alot of helpful bilingual staff for such a small shop. Also noticed quite a few contractors in the aisles, shopping for hard to find items. I've been back several times now ... more conveniently located than the local big box places.”

“Great selection for a store its size. The fasteners selection is especially comprehensive. Staff are always game to help problem-solve when an odd DIY question comes up. Doesn't have the options of a big box store, but worth trying your very local place before going to the orange one! My recollection is that they don't accept cards for transactions under $5 - good way to get rid of change.”

“This is A Great Store! Doesn't look like much from the street (careful you don't miss it!), and it's not Huge inside. But they absolutely know the right stuff to stock. This recent trip I needed 3/4" drop-in concrete anchors. Not a common item. HD didn't have it. Not even Hilti stocked them. I should've came to this Ace Hardware 1st. Not the only time this location has surprised me. Only store better for heavy duty hardware are places like McFadden & Dale's which are few & far between. The place feels a little crampt, but that's ok as long as they keep stocking the right stuff. Found some good commercial sized fuses & hard to find brass fittings there as well. Chances are, LB Johnson's got what you're looking for!”

“I found Prime Electric in search of material that was unavailable at nearby big-box stores and electric suppliers. I'm glad I called because not only did they have the material available, but they had an abundance in stock. Christian assisted me on the phone and had my order ready by the time we ended the call. When I arrived he greeted me with my order ready at the register for a fast transaction and gave me his business card for any future needs. Since then, I have become a regular and every time I go in, he and his team are always friendly and helpful. Christian also routinely checks in via-text to see if we need anything for that particular day. As a general contractor, I appreciate the great prices, inventory, location, and especially their exceptional customer service.Highly recommend.”
“This past weekend I came here to pick up a couple One-Step Folding Stool in grey or white color. I normally don't shop at Harbor Freight Tools (HFT) so I didn't know where tools and stuff are located. I was running late on time and didn't want to waste any more time walking through the aisles, hence, I asked the staff for assistance. The lady was nice to direct me to the correct aisle. I only saw the stool in black color. I went back to the lady and asked if she can locate the stores that have the grey or white stools. She was kind to do a look up for me. Thanks for the extra attention and care!HFT in Commerce had 5 grey ones in stock. HFT in Culver City and Pasadena both had 1 white one, but no grey ones. You know what that means... I'm heading to Commerce LOL. Before doing so, I called HFT Commerce and spoke with a staff member to reserve 2 grey stools for me. They were willing to do so. That is what customer service is all about. Thank you!HFT has so many tools and stuff. Too bad I'm not much of a handy woman (but I can be if I need to be or I just pay the professionals to get the task done LOL), otherwise, this place would be fun to hang out at on a Sunday afternoon LOL. I had a leaky shower valve to fix and the kind lady helped me step through the items that I needed to complete the repair. Fortunately the store is not far away, so going back and forth to the store while diagnosing the issue wasn't an issue. A HUGE plus for this local gem of a hardware store. The parts and tools I purchased were of good value and made in Taiwan. Fixing the leaky shower was made much easier by this store. If one is close by, I recommend stopping here first to find parts and small supplies for your DIY repair.”
