I purchased the Morse Code Safety Pin Ring from APM Monaco in Arcadia, back in March 2025. In October, I visited the store to purchase another item when I noticed that the safety pin on my ring had unexpectedly come off. This was incredibly upsetting, as the ring was a meaningful gift from my mother, who lives in Japan, to celebrate my dissertation defense.
When I inquired about a repair or replacement, the store manager, Nick, explained that company policy did not allow for a repair or exchange without the original safety pin—despite the ring still being under its 2-year warranty and only 7 months old. I also brought up some noticeable fading/discoloration, and was told this is common with gold or rose gold coatings—something I hadn’t been informed of at the time of purchase.
After taking some time to process everything, I decided to reach out to APM Monaco's customer care team. I was connected with Kiki, my dedicated advisor, who worked closely with Nick to help resolve the issue. Both of them went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. While Nick initially had to follow company policy, the brand ultimately prioritized customer satisfaction and approved a one-time exchange for a new ring.
I now understand that this ring is not ideal for everyday wear and will reserve it for special occasions. I truly appreciate the level of service and care I received from both Kiki and Nick throughout this process. Nick also shared that going forward, they will be more transparent with customers about product materials and care requirements, so shoppers can make informed decisions.

I was in the area and I decided to stop at this location to ask if there was anything they could do or if I was supposed to go to the Brea Mall where I had originally bought the ring to replace it.
