Hotel Vista Del Mar is a fantastic Mediterranean-style hotel in a perfect location on Catalina Island, just a short walk from the ferry landing and Avalon Bay. The hotel overlooks the bay pier and beach, offering amazing ocean views from private balconies in some suites and from the second-floor lobby. Rooms are clean and comfortable, featuring free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, wet bars with mini-fridges, and fireplaces. The staff is super helpful, friendly, and attentive, assisting with luggage, check-in, and other needs to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. A wonderful highlight is the complimentary freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and milk provided every evening, a perfect after-dinner snack. The hotel offers shared spaces including a garden, atrium, courtyard, and a balcony overlooking the bay, ideal for watching the sunset. Beach chairs and towels are also available. The main downside noted is the price, which can be high, and the lack of a lobby bar for cocktails, though a nearby steakhouse bar and liquor store are options. Overall, it is a very cute, fabulous hotel with a great location and extremely comfortable beds, highly recommended for a stay in Catalina.
Hotel Vista Del Mar is easily the best hotel on Catalina Island. I stayed in the ocean view suite for my anniversary back in 2023 and it was the most relaxing and romantic getaway. The fireplace and jetted tub were wonderful. I will definite be back.

An excellent, very clean hotel with very friendly staff; the room is very comfortable, and everything was exactly as described on the website. They offer free luggage storage, complimentary coffee in the morning, and cookies in the afternoon. The hotel is right by the sea and easy to reach.
