“We had a great 3-night stay at Aurora. The staff were so lovely. The room had a fantastic view of the harbor. Breakfast was yummy. I forgot my sweatshirt in the room and they were kind enough to mail it to me! Definitely the highest recommendation for a stay in Avalon.”

“Hotel Vista Del Mar is easily the best hotel on Catalina Island. I stayed in the ocean view suite for my anniversary back in 2023 and it was the most relaxing and romantic getaway. The fireplace and jetted tub were wonderful. I will definite be back.”

“We had an amazing stay at the Edgewater Hotel in Avalon! The location could not have been better — walking distance to everything in town, including restaurants, shops, and the beach. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the entire hotel had a relaxing, classic Catalina feel.
The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience easy from start to finish. They were also incredibly accommodating with our kids, which made the trip even more enjoyable for our family. Everyone was patient, helpful, and made us feel right at home.
The hotel has that perfect mix of charm and comfort, and we’ll definitely be staying here again next time we visit Avalon. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing island getaway!”

“Was a really great, cute hotel. The rooms were super cute, the bed was comfy, their rooftop patio was wonderful for watching sunset. It was at the end of the main strip so, very close to the beach, the dive park and the descano beach club. It was also a lot quieter than the main part of downtown which was preferable to us.”

“This is an older hotel with Spanish architecture and decent sized pool with a tremendous restaurant overlooking the pool. It is a great location close to town but removed enough to have some peace and quiet. The shuttle is very convenient and runs reliably but not like Swiss trains. There is no guaranteed pick up time and at times you may have to wait for a return shuttle because of limited capacity but that did not happen too often. Rooms are reasonably large with very high ceilings, fridge, microwave and a cozy little patio overlooking the pool.
The AC is outstanding!!! Carpeting looked like it is not too old. All in all it is quite comfortable.
Staff is very friendly and the front desk is open 24 hours with a little convenience store in the lobby.
My wife stayed here years ago and we will definitely be back. The Mexican food at the restaurant is the real deal. Best I have had in years! Six hungry boys cant be wrong, they devoured the beef nachos and then mowed through the chicken nachos, chicken strips, fries. Pico de gallo was perfect? Great waiters too! Juan and Arturo served us well and tolerated 6 boisterous young boys having the times of their young lives, a little to exuberant at times but they just kept having how much they loved the food!”

“The room we get is the larger one so there is plenty of space for us. However, this is Catalina and these places were built around 1900 so one can't expect to spend the night in luxury. That being said, we enjoy our stay as the people are friendly, the place is quiet, there is wifi and we are close to the beach.”
