Great service! Had been a few years since I last used the South Union Avenue location, but it doesn't seem to have changed. Park your car, the service person comes out (Andrew in this case) with a rolling tool cart & checks the battery and/or charging system. Was advised my 6+ year old battery had a dead cell in it; consequently, it wasn't holding a charge. Andrew stated the batteries available for my vehicle as well as their price and warranty. After answering a few questions, he removed the old battery, carried it inside, carried the new battery out and installed it. Total time 15-20 minutes maximum. No wasted time, no sales pressure, simple, and friendly. A complete pleasure doing business with.

I have been buying batteries from them for years. The two previous batteries were for my diesel truck.They lasted for about two years. Luckily I bought the warranty and it was about $80 to replace both of them. A couple of weeks ago I replaced the battery in my Camry drove it out of town and it died.I had the vehicle towed to a Toyota dealershipthey ran a diagostic and told me the battery needed to be replaced. I took the batterie to A1 and they told me the battery was good that it was my alternator.

A-1 is definitely a place to go to. Price of my battery was close to 1/3 the cost of auto parts stores. I'm never going elsewhere

The battery we bought a little over two years ago is dead…not the first time (or even second or third) that this has happened. The people are nice to work with, but we’ll be going somewhere else.

I knew my battery was dying for a couple of weeks but i was dreading taking it to the dealership because of how much they charge. I remembered my dad getting batteries from this place when we lived in southgate so decided to call and check some prices. $165 out the door for my 2017 Malibu. took less than 10 mins for them to switch batteries. As a woman, it's nice to go somewhere and not get the run around. 10/10, will always recommend.

I hadn't driven my 3 year old GMC pickup for 4 days, and when I went out to hook up the horse trailer the battery was dead. I called Motor City Service department and twice no one picked up the phone. I jumped the truck and drove over only to be told they could not install a battery on Saturday. I'd love to tell you how bad their service department is, but this is a review for A-1. I drove over to the S. Union location (there are 3 A-1 locations). They checked the alternator, then the battery. He said the battery was registering good on his meter. But, because we haul horses, I didn't want to take a chance. While Sean and I took care of the paperwork, the other tech (damn, I am blanking on his name) installed the new battery. In 15 minutes I was on my way. I've been buying batteries at A-1for 50 years and this is the service I ALWAYS get. There's no other place you need to consider. Thanks A-1!

Highly recommend this place! I was in and out in 5 minutes. They checked my battery installed my new battery and I was out the door in five. I'd give him 10 Stars if it was allowed.

I really like this company because they go out of their way to find the battery for your car. They also offer a service if your battery light turns on. We just needed a simple replacement and we didn't even stay five minutes. The warranty we got lasts 4 years but they do have another one that lasts 5. It's hot in here but staff is nice, fast, organized, and efficient. Oh! And they do have competitive prices.

I was literally in and out in under 10 minutes, they checked my battery, I bought the battery and as I was buying it they installed it. All under 10 minutes. Very good experience and would return ?
