The employees should really get on the same page when it comes to return policy. Some blonde lady who I think was the manager or shift manager gave me sass when I wanted to return 2 of the same items. One didn’t have the tags & the other one did (same style different colors) I only tried it on and it didn’t fit. Their online support told me it was no problem at all to not have the tags on the item just as long as it was in great condition. Which it was.. the manager told me to “not do it again” & that “next time it won’t be honored”. I’ve attached a pic for proof of me getting confirmation from their online site & it also states on their return policy that “no tags = store credit”. Don’t treat your customers like some kids or thieves.. the money is going back to the same place anyways. Ridiculous.

The employees should really get on the same page when it comes to return policy. Apparently based on the reviews I'm not the only one that's dealt with this. I am a repeat customer here and have never returned anything used or with out a tag. I bought a pair of flare jeans and after washing them, the hem at the bottom rolled up and would start to get annoying to deal with. I didn't want to have to iron these after every wash and I haven't had this problem with my other American eagle jeans, even my flares. I went in on 1/31 in the morning, explained the issue and requested a refund. The lady with blonde hair told me that it happens when you leave your jeans in the dyer and don't pull them out or fold them right away. I get it, but when I tried to tell her that I don't leave my clothes in the dryer she would cut me off and tell me that's what the flare jeans do if I don't do A B & C. I tried to show her the hem on the AE jeans I wore into the store that didn't have this issue. I felt when I tried to talk she would cut me off and disagree. She wasn't listening and finally said she would only do an exchange. AE refund policy clearly states that if you're not happy with a purchase return it for a full refund. Its my bad I didn't check the refund policy before going in and rushed to find a different pair of jeans in the store to do the exchange. I had proof of the recent purchase and ethically, she didn't abide by AEs true refund policy.

My last experience had to be the worst! I was returning some jeans I had bought and I mistakenly took off the tags. If you read the return policy on the American Eagle website it clearly states that they accept it without any tags or receipts and in any condition. Even though I asked them to look it up on my American Eagle card which would show the purchases. They refused and lied about the policy and the manager said the policy was at the manager’s discretion and proceeded to smell the jeans and say the jeans were obviously worn and washed and she wouldn’t not be able to resell them and insinuated they were smelly and dirty. The manager Bobbi was EXTREMELY rude!! I called corporate to ask about the policy to see if I was in the wrong and I was told how the manager lied and was supposed to take them back no matter what. I went back into the store and the manager still refused with corporate on the phone. The manager bagged up my jeans and told me I can drop it off at the post office and corporate can deal with it. I really hope that the owner checks this employee. It was a horrible experience and I had my children with me. This is not how a store should treat their loyal customers.

Ok, I have been shopping here for many years and never had any problems but after today I will no longer shop here again. So on Saturday I made a purchase using my store card but I didn’t have my card in my possession so they looked it up and I made my purchase then I decided to return a sweater today on Tuesday tags attached with receipt but they wouldn’t return it. My point is how is it you can take my money so easily but they make giving it back is so difficult. I can’t condone to that and won’t support any business that does.

Woman who works there was for no reason rude because I asked to put a pair of jeans on hold and said, "Are you going to actually buy them? Because yesterday you put them on hold and didn’t." Is it such a crime to be indecisive? I at least went back the day before and said cancel the hold. I replied to her, "Is that a problem?" She ignored my question and said, "I’ll just put these on hold for an hour." I ended up buying them because she was getting on my nerves. Call me petty and sensitive I don’t care. Treat customers with respect.

I was in the store yesterday shopping around and witnessed a Caucasian manager or some sort of shift lead speak down to a Hispanic young employee. Her attitude and demeanor towards the young Hispanic girl was literally disgusting. I asked another employee for her name and I think is was Cassie or Cassidy or something like that. It's truly sad to see people belittle others for themselves to be satisfied. Literally calm down, it's retail, you're not in high school anymore. Hopefully management can do something regarding this situation because it was truly sad and I definitely saw division among the workers who held themselves high to belittle others.

They won't let you try on clothes because they said they are under staffed. My daughter was trying on jeans under her dress and they said no because they don't have enough staff to sanitize them when she takes them off. PS. I counted a minimum of 7 employees on the floor. How many employees does it take to run a small clothing store?

Second time coming to return my jeans because they had a hole in them after it being shipped to my house. I called them and they were nice about it ! Got there and was 3 cashiers but they all left leaving one and took forever. Although they did have a lot of sales associates on the floor and not one able to work the register ? Will not shop in this store ever again...... it always happens when I shop at this store .
